Champions League 2008/2009

  • damn it ! what happaned to Polish teams? F'shafen kick SKra's ass sooo bad;/ Czestochowa easily lost to Fenerbache eh. Skra was leading 20-14 in 2nd set and they lost :what: wrrrr bad they for polish clubs even Resovia lost to some team from Belarus in challange cup :aww:

Anyone can support a team that is winning - it takes no courage. But to
stand behind a team to defend a team when it is down and really needs
you, that takes a lot of courage.

  • well, I could not watch Skra - Friedrichshafen to comment; I only saw the result and it surprised me though it's the group of death where anything can happen!

Today I managed to see Roeselare - Portol Mallorca and I was very disappointed by the Spanish team. They have national team players and what I saw today, in my personal opinion, was ridiculous! The setter Torre had no coordination with his attackers, Iban Perez absolutely anonymous today, reception was awful, only Sevillano deserves some good words... Roeselare didn't impress much, they won mostly because Mallorca was weak, I think last year Roeselare had a better team! They will qualify but might have problems after the group stage...

I wish I could watch Skra anyway! How did they play and why did they lose so convincingly?

lack of Reception lack of Antiga lack of everything lack of speed ... Falasca ?-no comment he probably played the worst match i have ever seen soooo slow sooo predictable soooo unaccurate ;/ and what's funny about it he wasn't substituted at all! i don't know why Castellani did not replace him

  • It was generally "black wendesday" for Polish volleyball fans - every single Polish team lost no matter: male or female   To mateo's list I add Jastrzębie which lost to Olympiacos (but only 3:2, so there is a big chance in the 2nd match). And Resovia's result is some nightmare for me :what:
Yesterday: 5 Polish teams in the ChL, CEV and Challange Cup - 5 loses and only 4 sets won :pinch:

  • Such bad days are often followed by some great ones, so you should be just a little bit more patient ;) though I agree that some of the results sound demoralizingly.

  • Domex Tytan AZS Częstochowa - Iraklis Saloniki 2:3

    (21:25, 20:25, 25:23, 25:23, 11:15)

  • Vitoria SC have beaten Jihostroj Ceske Budejovice 3-2 in one of the best games from the beginning of the IECL! It won't be unfair if they somehow manage to qualify to the next stage though it will depend on the scores from both games with Noliko. However, it was the first time I watched Vitoria and I was impressed! The supporters were also passionate and, for me, this team deserves its place in the IECL 100%, even if they finish last in their pool!

  • Domex Tytan AZS Częstochowa - Iraklis Saloniki 2:3

    (21:25, 20:25, 25:23, 25:23, 11:15)

AZS played quite good match, especially Bartman. They had chance to win, but they didn't manage to...

  • Skra beat Panathinaikos in Athens 3:0(25:16, 29:27, 25:21) :win: That was Skra I like and want to watch. Big respect for Murek and Bąkiewicz who were absolutely great today.
And I will be malicious: one of the reasons why Skra won is, that Kurek played only a little :D

  • Skra was very convincing today! A really classy performance! Everything worked - block, service, attack, Falasca was stable as well! I agree that the MVP should be either Murek or Bakiewicz.

  • Holy sugar SKra won 3-0 :what: :white: :woohoo: :dance4:
i didn't expect that coming  after horrible performance last week and with JW i was almost sure they will loose they suprice me a lot !! great job guys :win:

  • Pool D
    Paris Volley - Copra Piacenza 1:3 (19:25, 19:25, 28:26, 20:25)

i was in Paris with our great fans to see that match. i thought Paris Volley would have been a hard obstacle but it wasn't...we dominated the match, we lost the third set only for deconcentration.
but to be honest, i think Kazan is stronger than us, i think they will finish our group in the first position.
we're not as strong as last year (always my opinion, it's clear that i hope to be wrong :) ), but anyway, win in our arena won't be very easy for the russians... :box:

  • CSKA SOFIA - AZS CZĘSTOCHOWA 1:3 (23-25,16-25,25-20,20-25).
Very nice surprise. I didn't expect it much, but Polish team deserved the victory absolutely. Bartman was the best I think, as well as Bulgarian Mlyakov. He wasn't mercyful for his old team :P
