European Championships 2009

  • I'm starting to like Filipova... :)

  • Bulgarian play is too inconsistent.
They're leading with 4 or 5 points of difference, and then they melt and let the Poles reach them.
The Poles are much more focused at the end of sets.

I agree. I think it's their inexperience and their nerves that deters them to play consistently. I hope they play more in international matches against quality teams as I think they have lots of potential :)

Yes, they sure have lots of potential. They're a young team, I'm sure they can improve a lot. :)

  • congratulations to Poland

  • So we have our final four now:
Italy, Germany, The Netherlands and Poland.
    Nice. :)

  • Bulgaria should be proud because they showed they can compete with the current European teams. I hope they gain more exposure with top teams such as Brazil, China, and Italy...

I'm in love with Filipova :cheesy: In what team and league does she play?

  • Congratulations to Poland. Kazcor - N1 for them

We played without coaching - Nesich didn't break the series of Poland, it is time to be replaced. Imagine what this team can do with a coach :)

Filipova played for 3 years in Cannes, they won 3 times the title and the cup of France, I think. Yaneva was also there.

  • According to the very clever Jelena Nikolic, "again we had some young players new to the big scene and we, the experienced players, couldn't help them this time." How about, you couldn't help them, because you, experienced players, were terrible??? The babies Veljkovic and Rasic played a hundred times better than you big names! And she's "very proud of the team effort and blah". Not even a bit of self-criticism.

Ugh, this is pissing me off more than it should.

    Congrats to Poland.
