Non so neanche come onestamente: in due mesi ero di nuovo in campo.

Turkey played 5 set, Italy 3. Maybe Italy will be more "fresh"

It's difficult to say. It's rather mental problem.
See how played Serbian men's team in final after 5 sets in comparison to Italy (only 3 sets).
Other example Russia and their match for "only" bronze.

Of course this is only a prediction (that I wish came true XD)

  • Great start for Germany :white:
It's really a shame how few people are in the hall, this is a semifinal!!!

It's because Ger-Ita played first game at 18.00 PM, and the price of tickets per game average is between 20-30 EUR, so taking the bad economical situation in Serbia, most of the people choose to look the second game Serbia-Turkey at 20.00 ... but sure it's shame because the semifinals of EC in land of volleyball...

  • Serbia has definitely improved a lot since preliminaries but they also showed today that they're still vulnerable. If we can serve like today and our nerves are as strong as before we can win tomorrow. We have to stop Serbia from getting into a playing mood like they had today in the first set. Everything is possible, but of course I hope Germany can win. It would be completely out of this world!

  • F.ck off Rasic!!!

I think that Rasic played one of the best games in NT tonight... her performance in attack in first 3 sets was about 75% by statistic... quite impressive play for me by Milena, btw she was good in block too :teach: I hope that Serbia will compete in block with Furst tommorow... because she killed Italian girls today... I watched both games today live in Pionir and I am still under impression that Italy block was bad, or there was no block on net ?(. Anyway good show by Germany!

  • We have never had impressive blockers unfortunately. Our game is based on a very-well organised block-defense system. We definitely need Barazza in 2012. Gioli has to be there due to her contribution in attack but the current MBs cannot replace Barazza's role as a consistent blocker. I think this is probably our worst team in the last decade. We are seriously missing a 'go to' hitter. Life was much easier in the presence of Togut and Centoni until 2006 and Aguero between 2007-09. Despite having the best setter in the world, it is really hard to know what to expect from any of our hitters nowadays. Our outside hitters are simply not mentally or physically ready for the challenge of long tournaments anymore. I look forward to watching some new young talents after London. I was lucky enough to watch a few matches in Monza and it is not fun at all to see the struggles of OHs in every aspect of the game.

I regret not being able to watch any of the German matches this year. I really admire the wonderful teamwork and determination this team exhibit. Congratulations to Turkey as well. Although it doesn't require anything special to beat current Italian and Russian teams, just missing the final amid all those ongoing injury issues they had to deal with is a big success. They could still have been in the final if they have had a bit more consistent and intelligent setter or an injury free Neslihan.
