2013 European Championship - Germany and Switzerland

  • I think the problem of Bulgaria is that they have this huge amount of talent in their starting 6. So if they all play well in the same day, they can beat any team in the world.

But they have no bench in same level, and they have problems in reception. So when that is not effective, their hole game goes down the road.

Its a young team, so they still have a long way to go. They were also unlyckt to fall in such hard group.

Plus Abbondanza..Im sorry Its inevitable...that is something in his teams..(though know if its just coincidence, but its there)...they just can not win in decisive moments.. :S

  • Bulgaria problems: weak libero, weak OHs (expecially Rabazhieva) in both spiking and receiving.

At least Vasileva has just 2 skills (pipe and diagonal), but it's usually enough to score.

Ive said Rabazhieva is the most overrated player in the world several times  I dont see any specific things from her but she always plays in big clubs...

  • Sui again in the match. I really want them to win :super:

    Don't exaggerate elchicha :drink:
Swiss were in the game thanks to French mistakes :
    1) set 1 generously given by the coach Vial who trusted Leyla Tuifua I don't know why
    2) some fatal mistakes and 2 or 3 unlucky facts for France in the 3 rd set when Switzerland played its best

  • Pool B reminds me of a pool 2 years ago. It was Poland, Czech Republic, Romania and Israel

  • French NT got for the 1st time for a while many good players under 26. So we can build an interesting team for the next 4 years, but it looks the French Federation hadn't enough money to pay a 2 months-preparation for this ECH :wall:

  • I don't think there's any need bashing Bulgaria. They showed during WGP how good they can really play, and as I said before, that is the real problem. Anyone who has some idea about sports science will know what I'm talking about. Bulgaria peaked during WGP and couldn't keep this level, so their play now was far weaker. And they have two more problems: one is team/fighting spirit, I didn't see much of that today. The other is, as I already said during EL, Abbondanza. He just doesn't seem to connect with the team, today again it showed that he can't help them in difficult moments and players don't seem to respect him, at least some. And peaking too early also is a sign for bad season training planning...

Anyhow, congrats to Czech team! They really wanted it and they deserved it! They fought much more in defense and stood together as team. Jasova was great in tie-break, she is one of those liberos who isn't spectacular but always in the right place and always calm.

I agree. Jasova saved her team :rose: I think the Czech girls already made a half of success without Havelkova and Muhulsteinova..

  • Nice to see Russia executing slide attacks again. Slide attacks are one of the best things to watch in Women's volleyball

    Quite agree with this analysis.
Despite some weaknesses (reception above all), Bulgarian team showed this summer she is able to play very well.
But she has problems to remain at the top for games in a row and it's true Abbondanza doesn't have enough authority. However I think he got many coaching qualities too.

  • Beier tip tip tip
    So annoying

  • Seda helps a lot to Germany she can't recieve and she can't defend her place in backrow :wall:
