So Mesa will be very useful for the team - she can play on every position on the court

Smart Allianz Stuttgart signs Doreen Engel (KSC Berlin) as 2nd setter.
VfB Suhl signs American setter Kaylee Manns. American MB Chelsea Cheeley will train with the team in the next weeks too, Felix Koslowski will decide if they will sign her when he returns from NT.
-
Köpenicker SC Berlin signed Brazilian MB Barbara Garcia Duarte and German-American OH Sarah Weiland (played in Finland last season). Two more professional players shall arrive soon. The club also promoted several of their own youth players into 1st league team, one of them is Saskia Hippe's sister Laura.

Way to go

Sorry, but it is a sign of her quality that she returns from Italy to Germany...

So true
The official statement says, they needed another player, because of the injuries of Stephanie Kestner and Nicole Schröber. -
Yeah just saw it, I mean for Dresden the transfer is not that bad, she can do fine in German league, but for her as player it might be somehow embarassing...
-
Ah...come on. Italy is partially overrated. Dresden is a professional and - what's more important - a solid club. And even though they're allways whining about "we need more money" and "this and that is sooo expensive"... the players will have their salaries in time. And where did Anne Matthes play? Probably not for an italian top club either - or am I wrong? And its not guaranteed that a players development will proceed just from beein in Italy. Sitting on a bench in a good (italian) club or playing in the italian minors might bring a fair share of €uros, but playing for Dresden might be more benifical for most of the players developement, who left germany for a well paid contract abroad.
-
Yeah, as I said for Dresden it's not a bad transfer, and for Matthes it's probably also the best to play her because it suits her level better, what I mean is that it's unusual that a player returns to a lower level at her age
-
I don't get it - you're saying she "returns to a lower level"? But she is leaving a 2nd division team to join a Champions League team... so for me thats a step to a higher level.
-
Yeah but a 2nd division team in Italy, and if she had been main player there last season she could have played many good matches. Now she will get 6 good matches in CL, a few good matches in German league but also many matches that won't be near the level she could have had in Italy A2. Either way in my opinion the level here suits her performance much better...
-
American setter Kaylee Manns who was supposed to sign with VfB Suhl decided to play in Norway instead. The amount and intensity of training in German league was too much for her... Also the American MB which was an option does not come. Suhl is looking for a setter and a MB again now...

As for Maja Pachale, i´ve heard, that she has trouble seeing three dimensional, but i´m not sure if that´s true
It is true that she has trouble seeing in 3D, at least it was true 9 years ago -
Schweriner SC will try out American OH Laura Jones and Japanese Universal player Hiroko Hakuta in the next weeks. Jones played in Puerto Rico the last 3 years, Hakuta in Ageo Medics in V Challenge League.
-
Smart Allianz Stuttgart won the inofficial Supercup match against Schwerin 3:0. Both teams were missing several players due to injuries, NT and so on.
Tatjana Zautys returned to Stuttgart from Vilsbiburg. Also young talent from Dresden Pia Walkenhorst is now in Stuttgart.
