Poland NT 2011

  • Kosek,Kaczorowska,Jasweska 8| Is this kind of a joke? Kosek was obviously out of shape, and Kaczorowska is such a joke. I prefer Kruk anyway.
Where is Kasprzak? I think She is the best OH Poland have now (since Werblinska is inuried). j

Kosek need to be in shape during ECH and I hope she will be, because she can play really good. Her matches during Agata Mroz Memorial showed that she had to train hard at gym :P

  • Who is Jaszewska? I have never watched her in NT.I looked her on wikipedia and saw that she is already 30 years old :what:

Well, I am really sorry for Kinga. She is the best OH in Poland who could play in ECH.She doesn't have such a good reception but she was absolutely the best attacker compared to this squad's OHs. I don't think that Kaczorowska will be starting player.Kosek will play for sure(despite of her bad shape) and it seems there is not any choice expect Jaszewska. I don't think that the coach will use one of OPP as OH.If he had wanted to use one of OPP as OH, he would have tried that in Grand Prix where Polish team already had problems on OH position. As far as I know he didn't try that in friendly games too. My team for Poland: Sadurek/Skowronska, Kosek/Jaszewska, Okuniewska/Bednarek, Maj . Podolec and Konieczna must be at the bench too.

  • If I were a coach I would choose Kruk instead of Efimienko or Kwiatkowska but I believe that it won't be so serious problem for us. I hope that there will be no injuries and then 3 OH's are OK :) . I think Świderek wants to play with a second libero in "12" so maybe he doesn't need so many OHs :whistling:

Most probably the starting six will be something like this:

    S: Sadurek?
    OH: Jaszewska, Kosek
    MB: Badnarek, Okuniewska
    O: Skowrońska
    L: Maj

Let's comapre with a starting six from EC 2009 when Poland won a bronze medal:

    S: Sadurek
    OH: Werblińska, Jagieło
    MB: Bednarek, Gajgał
    O: Kaczor
    L: Zenik

I wonder if we have stronger or weaker team then 2 yeras ago... This year a bronze medal would be a great result (as well as it was in 2009 when we played without many players who played a year ago during 2008 Olympic Games.

The Setter will be the same (Sadurek) although Wołosz played quite good in Memorial of Agata Mróz.
OH:it will be our weakest point. Werblińska and Jagieło are a better pair then Jaszewska and Kosek. But all of them are short players with a good reception and Jaszewska was imresive in league season so maybe it won't be so bad :whistling:
MB:Okuniewska will play instead of Gajgał and it may be even strengthening. Also I hope Bednarek is better and more experienced player then 2 years ago :!:
O: Skowrońska seams to be better than Kaczor so it's our another + But remember that Kaczor played extremely well during 2009 EC :!:
L: Zenik didn't play so good in 2009. I remember that she had some problems with a reception so on position of libero now we may have better player too...

So in comparison with 2009 we have quite good team. The problem may be OHs but I hope that they will do their best :!:

Jaszewska played last time in NT in 2002, really long time ago. She had really good last season in Gwardia Wrocław and everyone talked about her comeback to NT. She is not so tall (182 cm). Last times at receive was tight and she didn't had chance, but after those good season her name came back. She had also health problems. One fell hard from her spine, but she came back and I hope on her.

  • Kosek is out of shape. Kaczorowska is totally useless. Jaszewska wasn't as good as I expect on Agata Mróz Memorial. Although I hope she will play better on ECh.

I agree totally Kosek and Kaczorowska is crucial point of the match are useless !

  • hmm, ok Podolec will play as tall OH instead of Kinga I hope :!: and the second OH Jaszewska (in case Kosek is still without form) and it could be good...and I really dont understand that 3 OPP, Konieczna and Kwiatkowska have not so good reception to play as OH I think

  • Nice analysys, pol.
In my opinion Polish team is slightly weaker than 2 years ago, but it doesn't mean we can't dream about medal.
"YES, WE CAN!" ;) Our male team won bronze - why shouldn't our girls be able to do this?
I also miss Kinga Kasprzak. She would give a lot of fire to the team. We have to play without her. It is a problem, but not a disaster. I hope girls handle with everything.

    The most important 3:
    POLAND-SZCZECIN-VOLLEYBALL

    5th place - Prediction Game - World League 2011 :D

  • Coach Swiderek said that the goal of our NT is semi-final. The goals should be the highest but also real, so he said that it's semifinal.
Anna Podolec said that they want to fight for everything, for the highest goals because our Men's NT success very mobilized them. She said that maybe they can achive even more, they will definitely fight on ECH.

Hehe, I read that. Anna said, that they're going for gold!

Nice goal  I think any team can be the champion this year. I mean Poland without Glinka,Kaczor,Skorupa and etc...Russia without Kosheleva,Sokolova,Kryuchkova. a load of star players are out of this competition. in addiction, the whole dutch team is unhealthy, Italy is kinda old...(but it also means they're extremely expereinced).
I'm looking forward to see Skowronska's great performance. She was totally terrible in WGP last year. this is time to get her shape back in NT. too bad that there's no outstanding OHs like Werblinska,Glinka or Kasprzak...I guess OHs is the weakest point for Polish NT now.

so...my vote goes for Serbia. They're gonna win this ECH   (no weakness...apart from the reception IMO)

  • I agree with you emil, Serbia is the main favourite I think, they have amazing season and very stable players.

Skowronska said that the pool is easy but only theoretically cause volleyball is unpredictible :D

Yeah, I agree with Kasia. Volleyball is unpredictible, and Poland is much more unpredictible. They can beat any strong teams, but They also can get crushed by weak teams  Scores don't really matter to Polish girls  23:15 -> 23:25  I hope it won't happen again though..

  • we can lead by 7 points and then lose, so Polish NT is really unpredictible.
I think, firstly they have to beat rivals in pool, then they can think about something more ;)

  • the funniest thing is only Radecka,Maj,Bednarek played last ECH in 2009. Kaczorowska was on the roster, but she never played.

  • I wonder how will look first 6 our nt, and who will play as OH (Podolec/Kwiatkowska)

  •
maybe this ECH will be her lucky ECH

honestly, I can't find anything special from Kaczorowska's performance. but Bonitta,Maltak and Mr.Swiderek called her all the time xP..this is kinda surprising 8o
maybe she's gonna have a lot of chances to play this ECH..as you said this is the best shot for her. but I don't expect that much  I'd call Kruk back in stead of Kaczorowska, If I could. Kruk seems to be more stable in reception at least...

  • Swiderek is doign roght thing in this - giving high goals for the team - he said that in interview months ago, that he wants big goals to motivate the team - and this is big difference of Matla and his popular "znamy swoje miejsce w szeregu" (we must know our place or how to say it in English)
