2012 Olympic Games

  • Serbia??? :white: :white: :white: They're just pathetic now, no opposition at all!
China has stabilised their reception, Zhang Lei looks much better than in GP and China can do whatever they want. Wang looks not impressive at all, but right now China doesn't need her so much...

  • Wow, Earl's court looks very average for me compared to the one in Beijing and Athens. Just my opinion :teach:

"[size=8]It's years and years of work and sacrifice and dedication. Along with a lot of these girls, we've sweat and we've bled and we've cried together in past Olympics. It just brought tears to my eyes, & I'm more than thrilled. This will be forever." -LOGAN MAILE LEI TOM (Silver Medallist - 2008 Beijing & 2012 London Olympic Games, 2011 World Cup runner up, 2003 & 2007 World Cup 3rd place, 2002 World Champs runner up, 4-time World GrandPrix Champs)

Agree, for me it looks very pale.

  • China's game is so simple, when opponent serves well they can't resist and collapse pathetically because they can not use their giant MBs. However, when they stabilize their reception, their offense is getting scary thanks to their variant game options.

Serbia is playing as expected so I don't blame them, but Matthias is right using Ivana as OH makes things worse. Since Brakoceviç is injured why doesn't Terziç use Ivana as Opp, he risks Brakoceviç's health

By the way I don't like the way of stats in the OG website. Will FIVB give usual stats after match?

  • cSerbia made too many serving mistakes at the beginning of the third set, which directly trapped them into a worry emotion. That in turn force them to make more mistakes at last.

Actually, they knew the only way to win China is to make good servings

But now, our girls are totally crazy!

  • What a sad moment for Serbia. This is just not working without Nikolic, Malagurski and Molnar

  • Ognjenovic started to force her MBs much especially Rasic. What a insistence :white:

  • Don't think so, Cebiç is the only one who fights and show solid performance IMO

Totally agree. Cebic is the only one who really fights.

About Serbia's reception.. I don't know who is worse.. Mihajlovic or Djerisilo.I still think Djerisilo is ok for an OPP turned into OH!

  • Serbia has made all the substitutions but to no avail... :white:

  • congrats, china. btw, i saw wang yemei holding her right shoulder. I hope she's ok

  • Congrats to China, they played very well after first set !!!

I don't understand Terzic...Neither Djerisolo, nor Mihaijlovic are decent receivers...

  • Serbia

    CHN-SRB 3-1 (16-25 25-18 25-13 25-12)

It's possible, you just have to believe in yourself and really not care what other people say, because I've heard it all.
If you let someone else dictate what you're going to do in life, then you won't get there.

Non so neanche come onestamente: in due mesi ero di nuovo in campo.

Wang yi mei played quite well today~
Because of her injury, she holds back a little bit, not spiking very hard like in the past
    but more tactical!

  • I really like to watch china when they play as an 'asian' team but when they try to change this style they usually suck

We never want to change our style. The fact is that we have fewer and fewer comprehensive players these years. A player having good reception ability and enough attacking performance nowadays is somehow hard to seek. So more and more often, when the players' receiving doesn't work, we have to play high and slow balls, which obviously is not our good-at job, and in this case, we usually get a sad result...
