Korea is all about Kim YK. If they took her out, their level significantly decreases and the whole team collapses. It would be great for them if they would be able to develop another player who will share Kim's scoring burden. I expect USA to beat them in straight sets and I think the best they can get is reaching 4th in their pool.

Nicole Davis is USA's only weak spot. They should ask Castillo to become American citizen
I've also written that down before. What is worse is that they don't have any other promising player
(I have never watch Miyashiro as main libero, so I don't know her capabilities yet)
-
ok Italy won but I'm not that satisfied...Del Core and Caterina didn't convince me at all! I liked Arrighetti, but they must do more if they want to go on! it was the first match and everything so I hope they manage to improve more and more!

I agree...Korea depends too much on Kim Yeon Koung! they need some other great attacker...

Kim is monster!
She disrupt even triple block.
Their tall MB Hjo-sin impressed me in GP but she doesn't seem effective today
-
Korea 16-14.

What I hate most about Davis is her complete inability to pass free balls perfectly. This is an absolute basic, even 14 year old players can do that
The ball comes hiiiiiigh from Korean side, she has an eternity to prepare the pass and then she sends it on the 3m line or like in 2nd set somewhere towards position 4 so Berg has to fight to keep the ball in play instead of being able to create an offense.

Whoa, Kim, er, Korea is leading the 3rd set! They are threatening to shatter my 3-0 prediction against them.
-
i spent my time looking for a working link but to no avail.
davis's passing is the real culprit.
-
Yeon-Koung Kim scored something like 15 points in the set!

Yeah, me either. I'm relying only the livescore and the posts here for information. Hopefully, there will be videos of the games in youtube

Wow Korea really takes the set
Too many unforced errors from USA and Kim was unstoppable...USA needs to concentrate better again, they're not gonna win with just 75% power now.

Russias president Medvedev kissing the players after today´s game:

Go Korea!
There is a need of surprises during the games
-
USA 2-1
-
i expected 3-1 for usa before, btw when the teammates can play 'normally' kim makes the korea team great
-
With Davis "free balls" doesn't exist!

I found a working link on lshunter.tv

Hooker was effective just in the first set. Logan is digging well and Jordan is our main spiker 'till now.
I think we just need to keep more concentration.

Kim is certainly one of - if not the best - player Korea has ever produced. It's a bit harsh to say, but I think she could have achieved more with better team mates.
