2012 Olympic Games

  • Congratulations South Korea! These girls can make more surprises if they can play this way more matches. Not only Kim, but also Han made difference. They should only better Opp, today Hee Jin Kim wasn't so good, but hopefully it didn't spoil good game by Koreans. Brazil isn't the same team like years ago. Definitely the biggest problem are OH's.

Gold medal - World League 2013 Prediction Game
Bronze medal - World League 2012 Prediction Game

  • Whoa! it;s just too much, way too much, to actually believe that Korea beat Brazil! and in straight sets! :super: amazing performance from them! Must be frustrating for Brazilian fans to root for their team. ;(

  • BRA - KOR 0:3.

    Even Cocobol went down!

    Prediction Game :
    5th place - Olympic Games 2012
Bronze - World Grand Prix 2012
Gold - Liga Femenina de Baloncesto de España 2011-2012 (as "LV")
Silver - EuroBasket Women 2011 (as "LAT")
Gold - FIBA EuroLeague Women 2011 (as "LAT")

  • If China win Brazil 3:0 or 3:1
Brazil will be in a big trouble not reaching to QF

  • Korea won.
Maybe, the first time in history they win against Brazil.
    Congratulation for Korea.
I don't have the words to say for Brazil.
    They are big disappoinotment.
Natalia is not useful because Ze didn't use her at all, while he is soooo insisting to take her to London.
And you guy can see the result with his silly decision.

  • :woohoo: Congrats to Korea, a very deserved victory!
Korea beating Brazil can be called a surprise, but doing this 3:0 can be called a sensation, and now the scenario I imagined can happen. If Turkey manages to beat Korea (though now I think it is unlikely) and China beats Brazil and Korea (though I can see Korea beating China too now), three teams (BRA, TUR, KOR) will have two victories and three defeats. Brazil's only victory so far gave them only 2 points, so they better beat Serbia clearly. This pool is so interesting, and it's a shame one of these three must be out while DOM will be in QF just to get their butts kicked by USA

  • Mari should be smiling on her sofa. How could Zè take Paula instead of her? :wall:

Garay tried to lead the team, but she has not a lot of international experiece and we saw it very well when she was blocked 3 times in a row. Just Sheilla and Jaque did not give up 'till the end. Fabiana better than last matches, but not enough to help the team to win a single set.

  • Congratulations South Korea!

I have no words for Brazil performance. I dont have doubts they can play better than that, but their posture...no comments.

That with Kim not even playing her best. I guess the beggining of the game was decisive. Brazil gave Korea the confident to make it. Korea played really cleaver.

  • Congratulations Korea :white: curius what Brazil will do against China :what: everything is confused now in group B

  • I just hate the grouping
DR even before the olympics start
they are already secure in QF

I guess even Serbia can beat DR

  • Congratulations Korea :flower: :flower: :flower:

The whole team played well today, not just Kim :win:

About Brazil: they escaped against Turkey, and lost two matches now...they will defeat Serbia...but against China???

So, probably they will be 4th in group...

You're absolutely right. They have too much up and downs. And their OH is not reliable at all so it makes the team's system went wrong.
Because the setter have to force more ball to the middle.

And I hope I will not see Paula and Jaqueline in the NT next year.

  • Korea 2012 over Korea 1976

I totally agree with all you write. Kim was definitely not showing her best game, especially in reception, so today it was time for the others to show that Korea is more than Kim and they did it.

And about Brazil, it confirms what I wrote during Turkey match. Most of them are not willing to work hard for success because they are too used to it. They have this attitude "we are Brazil, we are the best in the world" (their men team is even worse in this), so they are used to opponents who lose almost just out of respect, and as soon as there is more resistence than they expect, they get annoyed, but instead of playing better they play even worse and just seem to wait until the opponent finally stops the impertinence of not giving up. It's not like Brazil cannot play better, they simply don't want to, they just want to play well when the match is easy anyway and everything is flowers and sunshine. Turkey had too many problems with their own nerves to beat Brazil eventually, but Korea gave them a real bad blow today. The next match will tell a lot about the character of Brazilian players, but right now, I can see no way how they beat China...

  • Brazil-Russia quarterfinals is a real possibility now! :dance6:

Thats the biggest difference of USA and Brazil right now. USA, despite being ranked as the #1 in the world right now, I can't see any complacency on their part. They work as a team.

Its a pity Brazil has these problems.
