Poland is 28th after spoiling NT by Piotr Makowski
Bulgaria as play is one level with Serbia and Turkey and Russia without Gamova /or at least very close/, behind USA, Brazil, China, Italy and Japan. The team is young and can further develop /passing, setting, spiking vs the block/. I don't know where Dominican Republic actually is as level, may be they are stronger than us, Serbia and Turkey, but probably not much.
i think Bulgaria is close to Turkey and Serbia but the last two are a little better than Bulgaria in terms of consistency, experience, persistence, stamina etc..
i dont think Italy and current Japan are better than Serbia and Turkey.. Dominic R. has improved... at the last Wgp they beat Turkey for the first time but they are a dangerous team at the moment for many strong european teams with this shape...
i agree that japan is not better than brazil, usa, russia but i dont know for turkey and serbia of course we could say that if serbia did not have injury issues they might be one of the top teams but there's no way of confirming that if they do not play as a complete team

there are too many "injured" in Serbia NT these days...lol

Japan at Wgp beat both Russia and Turkey..however Japan at WcH wasnt better than Russia and Turkey,Serbia...the last three could probably have beaten Japan at WcH..
btw, Turkey is also playing without its top players : Neslihan-Eda-Esra-Gülden....
did Jaqueline retire?
did Jaqueline retire?
Why do you ask that?!?
You could read the news here http://www.worldofvolley.com/N…y-volleyball-anymore.html
Thanks for the info..
OH MY GOD! I wasn't expecting that one. She is in such a great great shape right now, both attacking and receiving.. And as she said many clubs would absolutely love to have her. Earlier today I was thinking what will she do if she doesn't have a club, and that when she'll come to the NT in summer she won't be in good shape and other girls deserve that spot.. And right away she says that: , I won’t be playing volleyball during the club’s season and there are other players who deserve to be a part of national team'
Respect.. Wish her all the best and I hope she decides to play in some club in Brazil
one team beating the other is not impressive the question is how many times
all the best to jaqueline....
she played with peace of mind for the whole tournament, i never thought she would retire so soon.
thank godness she is not leaving too far away from volleyball..we still have chance to see her in clubs.
Jaque !
it breaks my heart
can someone explain how they decide the awards or who's eligible?
i mean, if you count the whole tournament, perhaps best OH would be rahimova or de la cruz or kosheleva. (sorry, canter, as much as i love gozde, she's not in their league.)
it seems fivb is only considering players from the final 4, which is kinda stupid.
incidentally was checking results in 1998 men's WCh. the mvp was a player from spain, which finished 8th. so it's a very different system today.
btw gibby was in italy, i see her here at around :52 in this video?

Yes she was in Italy because she is training with her new club.. so she went to watch some games.. I really feel for her not making this roster
Are there any links to the semi-final and final matches including third place in high definition apart from laola.tv?
there are on YT but not high def.
