2014 FIVB World Championship - Italy - 9/23

Ok, I found most of missing names of Thai players from picture above, which I found also HERE. It's 2nd stage of choosing roster, from 38 players they chose 30 and add a MB (Chutima). I tried to recognize as many players as possible, but I still have 5 question marks there.
According to photo of Thai NT's wide roster we have players (in order):

3rd row: Kaewkalaya Kamulthala (MB), Kuttika Kaewpin (OH), Kittiyakorn Phansamdaeng (S), ? (OH), Jarasporn Bundasak (MB), ? (OH), Tikamporn Changkeaw (L), ? (S)

Can someone from Thai users (I guess You can do it Tony ) help me with these question marks? - they're 3 OHs, MB and Setter. I'm also not sure about few others like Tikamporn, Khwanjira and Supamool - are they these players Thai language is so hard

For WCH we'll probably see mostly players from first 2 rows, maybe adding either Kaewkalaya or Wantichaya or Yupa.

In Italy I see this 14 (of course staringline-up is rather obvious and we won't see backups so often...):
S: Nootsara, Pornpun
OP: Malika, Ajcharaporn
OH: Wilavan, Onuma, Tapaphaipun, Wantichaya

Simultaneously we'll have Asian Games in Incheon (Korea), so there should play others which won't find place in WCH roster:

OH: Sontaya, Kuttika, ?, ? (here we have question marks, because there are players which I couldn't recognize )
MB: Jarasporn, Khwanjira

3rd row : Khatthalee Pinsuwan (OH/1994), Jutarat Muntripila (OH/1986), Tichaya Boonlert (S/1997)

4th row : Wanida Kodruang (OH/1990), Supassara Boonsri(MB/1994), next to Soraya is Hattaya Bamrungsuk (MB/1990)
And the last one is Chutima Srisaikaew (MB/1991)

About the roster of Thailand NT in WCH and Asian Games, unfortunenately, we may find a really big surprise here.
According to the interview of senior official in Thailand Volleyball Association, they've planned to send the best 6 line-up of Thailand NT to Asian Games since they want to reap the AG medal for the first time. Then, the rest of NT plus other newbies will join World Championship in Italy.

This idea is highly controversial among Thai VB fans and many people totally disagree about, of course.
But it's not the ultimate decision until the rosters of both tournaments are officially announced. Hopefully, it may be wrong.

Well, I can divide these players for some groups:

Others quite important, which played in some matches in NT for wider roster: Pornpun Guedpard (S), Ajcharaporn Kongyot (OP), Wantichaya Luangtonglang (OH), Sontaya Keawbundit (OH), Em'Orn Phanusit (OP/MB)
Young and perspective, which I remember that were in Junior NT: Kaewkalaya Kamulthala (MB), Kuttika Kaewpin (OH), Jarasporn Bundasak (MB), Yupa Sanitklang (L), Sineenat Phocharoen (OP), Soraya Phomla (S), Hattaya Bamrungsuk (MB)
These were in NT's wide rosters in past years, but almost don't have chances to play: Kittiyakorn Phansamdaeng (S), Jutarat Muntripila (OH), Tikamporn Changkeaw (L), Supamool Rasamee (OP)

Idea with taking top line-up for Asian Games is for me just ridiculous and I understand those fans, who can be disappointment by that move

Missing in NT are of course Setter Sukmak Kamonporn and MB Kaensing Utaiwan who can definitely find a place in both rosters

Pavan's sisters out? Bad news

Sarah didn't play in last years in NT, in last year she played on beach. Rebecca was in NT maybe 2 years ago and later had serious injury. After that I don't remember how she played.
Despite of this road for WCH is wide and open, only obstacle in their pool is Mexico. If they don't beat Mexico there'llbe 2nd chance in Play-Off tournament

Becky's injury was not so serious, she had a stress fracture in her leg and needed to rest last summer, but she played the full club season in Stuttgart and did well and her club reported after the season that she has left for NT training, so I'm surprised that she's not in the list.

Thanks for explanation Matthias I found this roster on volleyball.ca and she isn't listed there, though maybe also some other players like Rebecca Pavan are training with NT...

Nice to see Puerto Rico again with the strongest roster
Mojica, K.Ocasio, A.Cruz, Velez, Oquendo and Seilhamer are back

These players will be base also for World Grand Prix and Pan-American Cup.

The Honduran Volleyball Federation has funding issues and had to submit an appeal to the President of Honduras for assistance purchasing tickets for their teams to the NORCECA qualifying about to take place in the USA. They are still awaiting a response but if denied they may have to drop out of the tournament which carries very steep consequences.
$50,000 fine, 2-year suspension from events, and dropping of any technical or financial assistance from the FIVB. I hope they're able to secure the money The tournament is only 5 days away.

Some corrections: Jineiry Martinez is MB, Bethania De La Cruz probably will play as OH, while OP will be Brayelin Martinez and Ana Binet will be as OH - for serve and backrow/defence
Rosalin Angeles is surprise here, she was out of NT in last few years, last time I saw her in roster about 2007-2008, but it's understandable because Marte had no backup after Echenique is no longer here. I thought that 2nd setter will be Camil Dominguez

And where is Prisila Rivera she was main OH there

Thanks for the correction. I've never heard of some of these newer players I assume Rivera might just be taking time off. DR will play against Guadeloupe, El Salvador and Nicaragua. All teams that DR should beat very easily. Better for younger players to get the experience and let the vets rest.

Well, real newcomer in Domincan NT is only Jineiry Martinez, who's 16-year-old girl another who didn't get chance in final 12 is Erasma Moreno and she's 22.

Rest 9 girls except Angeles are constant members of Dominican main roster in years 2009-2013, some introduced earlier, some later like Brayelin Martinez, who joined more in 2012 (only De La Cruz and Castillo played in NT earlier)

Rosalin Angeles didn't get many chances to play in NT and I don't know the reason why she wasn't included in previous years here. Checking World Grand Prix last time when I found her in match report (P-2 file) was in 2004 (she wasn't in Olympic Games in Athens, there were Jackson with Gonzalez) later played only other setters: Juana Gonzalez, Carla Echenique, Gina Del Rosario (I don't kno how situation looked in NORCECA competitions, they lost data from past years ) and later appeared current main setter Niverka Marte, who created pair which Echenique in years 2009-2013, in episodes we saw Francia Jackson or Camil Dominguez, but never Angeles maybe now she'll become backup for Marte

Tournament should be easy for Dominicana so all newcomers: J. Martinez, Moreno and Angeles after long break should get some chances to play here

Writing about Rivera, Angeles and others I totally forgot about their the most experienced MB, Annerys Vargas, but now I suppose that both she and Rivera just got a rest and will return for Pan-American Cup, WGP and WCH
