Rosters will be constantly updated with new transfers...

  • Nice work Matthias :win: I will try to do same for Turkish league soon :cheesy:

What do you think about CZE player Utla and Merkova? Why don't we see them in NT? Aren't they good enough or personal reasons?

  • What do you think about CZE player Utla and Merkova? Why don't we see them in NT? Aren't they good enough or personal reasons?

Both were in the extended roster this year, Merkova played some matches last year and Utla played in WCH 2010 I think...Merkova is not as good as Havlickova and Vanzurova (even though she was best scorer of German league last season), but I think Utla should be there as OH, at least on bench...

  • In Schwerin, there are rumors that Janine Völker (OH/L, junior world champ 2009) might come back to the team. She quit last year to concentrate on her studies, but recently she attended some event SSC hosted for their sponsors...still only speculations though.

  • Linda Dörendahl finally renewed her contract in Münster for 2 more years. Mindi Wiley ends her career to take a job offer in California.
The club had two MBs in tryout trainings, Ashley Benson (USA) and Angie Bland (BEL). The coach would like to sign them both because of the many matches in league and European cup next season and because both made a very good impression, it will be a financial matter in the end.

  • VT Aurubis Hamburg complete their team with GBR MB Ciara Michel, last two seasons in Alemannia Aachen. Yet another transfer I anticipated :D When she came to Aachen in 2010 she was a very average player, but she has made great progress there and last season was among the best blockers of the league and she's also a good attacker. This transfer also seals that Hamburg will definitely be the tallest team of the league with two 1.96 MBs, a 1.90 setter, a 1.91 Opp and at least one of the OHs is about 1.90 too, Vandesteene will feel dwarfish with her about 1.85

  • Now it's official, Polish setter Alicja Leszczynska stays in Köpenick next season. She had very good offers from other teams, but she decided to stay because she can make good progress and achieve even more than last season with Köpenick

Alicja made a good decision leaving PlusLiga year ago, she could be another wasted player, now she can improve more  Will she be starter next season?

Yes definitely, she already was starter last season and improved a lot throughout the season, in the beginning she sometimes had the tendency to play a bit reckless (her coach complained about it in a TV interview :D ), but like the whole team, she played a very good season in total. I really liked the bits and pieces I saw of her playing style in TV reports, sometimes she wants too much and tries the most difficult options, but her game is definitely not boring ;)

  • 23 year old OH Sandra Sell from Köpenick ends her career :white: This comes quite unexpected...and it's sad, she had a lot of potential ;(
She says it's a mix of personal and health reasons and she considered it during the whole season. This also explains why she declined the invitation to NT...

Libero Jessica Göpner and OH/Opp Pia Riedel both stay in the team for next season.

Good news! I hope she will play again in Poland some day, but this seems the right decision for her.

Also, thank You Matthias, for all your work in this thread.

  • Dutch Opp Karine Muijlwijk (do I have all i's and j's right? :D ) will play in Alemannia Aachen next season. She had a contract in Hamburg last season but could not play the whole season due to a shoulder injury. The club also renewed with Hungarian Opp Barbara Degi, but if Muijlwijk stays healthy, Degi will be on bench.

  • We have new member here on forum- MatthiasBm.

Matthias will be jelaous.. who knows maybe He will delete his profile even.. He was the One and now..
