The regular season will begin on 13-14 October 2012 and will end on 16-17 March 2013 and the Playoffs are going to start on Marchl. Fenerbahçe Grundig will be the reigning champions after winning the 2011–12 Turkish League.
Following the regular season, eight teams in league rankings qualify for the playoffs and are seeded one to eight. In playoffs, home court advantage goes to the first seeding and the 4 winners advance to the second round or semifinals with a match-up between the 1-8 and 4-5 winners and a match-up between the 2-7 and 3-6 winners then the 2 winners advance to the third round or finals.
First roud is a best of three series. The quarter finals are played in a 1-1-1 format, meaning the team with home court advantage hosts games 1,3* while their opponent hosts game 2. (* - if needed)
Second round is a best of three series. The semi finals are played in a 1-1-1 format, meaning the team with home court advantage hosts games 1,3* while their opponent hosts game 2. (* - if needed)
Third round is a best of five series. The finals are played in a 1-2-2 format, meaning the team with home-court advantage hosts games 1, 4*, 5* and their opponent hosts games 2,3. (* - if needed)
At the end of season; the Turkish League winner and runners-up automatically qualify for the CEV Champions League upcoming season. The Turkish Cup winner and third place team has automatically qualify for the CEV CUP. If the Turkish Cup winner has already qualified for European competition through their league finish and if the runners-up have also qualified, the next highest placed club in the league takes their place.
