2013 FIVB World Grand Prix

  • hejjdeu, can't you possibly stop complaining? If you support for Germany, just support Heike too. She's one of the team members and even if you don't want her in the team, nothing will change. Seriously, every time I see you, you complain.

Do i have to say 'wow look at germany what a team just because i love the team' you can do it if u want but i will go on this way.I dont have to support someone i dont like her game its nonsense.

  • Did u watch the match yesterday? Kozuch had 18 points while brinker had 21.Furst had just 7 points if i remember right.Kozuch makes her job she is the last person to blame in german team. The difference is grun is not there and guidetti tries to make same game style as 2011 but with beier and it doesnt work.Yeah nonsense but not my thought trying this way although its certain that it doesnt work.

Kozuch made 11 faults of her 39 attack. If an opposite player is making %30 of her attack as direct mistakes, she is the one to be blamed  Her attack efficiency is almost same with Beier with much more faults, so why Beier bothers you only :what:
Moreover, I don't think Grun's current shape would help more than Beier.

Zhu Ting rocks! 31 points with %45 efficiency :cheesy:

  • I'm not surprised that all the european teams are playing horrible, well except Serbia. Poland without solid receiver, even their libero is very weak compared to others. the only positive thing is that Kakolewska shows how promising she is. She reminds me of Rasic when she was a newbie. Efmienko seems to have improved herself a lot. 2 years ago she was so bad at attack but now she can at least run and attack well. Well, Many of you blame Radecka for not being creative, but with all these creepy reception you can do nothing. Germany as expected playing very bad...It surely reminds me of the terrible performance 2 years ago just before Angie came back. But I'm quite sure they will play a lot better on ECH. Italy apparently plays a very boring volleyball and you can tell it again. Signorile is not that bad but not so special either. Diouf is a promising player indeed but so slow and should improve lots of things. What have crossed my mind is that she definitely needs a teacher like Karpol or Guidetti. I love Arrighetti on the other hand. She does a very good job in her position and is very energetic. Turkey is not that bad either, although their opponents were not that strong so far. Bahar Toksoy and Naz Aydemir don't seem to have any chemistry. Seda is a big surprise on the other hand. Netherlands...nothing specific but Femke Stoltenborg is just SO GREAT. I'm a fan of Laura, but never understood why Femke was on the bench whereas Laura was playing all the matches as starter. Pietersen is so weak as expected, they badly need Lonneke. Bulgaria and Czech Republic are playing pretty well considering it's their first WGP. C.R without Havelkova and Muhlsteinova and Bulgaria without solid receivers seem very interesting. the czech youngster Mlejnkova is so good. I hope she continues to play like this. Great block, nice technic, strong mental. I'd not be so surprised if Kossanyiova would be staying on bench when Havelkova backs to the team soon. Monzoni and Plchotova play a very consistent volleyball and lead the team well. About Russia, I'm simply disappointed since they could play better than this and they already showed us a very good performance. Borodakova and Matienko must be very nice persons in person but I seriously want them to go home... the biggest surprise is that Kosheleva made a very nice comeback and Russia has got a lot of options (Obmochaeva, Kosheleva, Pasynkova, Chaplina, Isaeva and Malykh...) Btw, Where is Dianskaya? What made her worse than Shylyakhovaya? :what:

  • what happened to the outside hitters chen and hui?

Chen Liyi doesn't enter this year's national team.

Hui Ruoqi can take part in the matches in Hong Kong.

    China NT 2013

My favourite roster of Chinese (in 2022)
    male NT:
    S - Yu Yao-chen, Chen Lei-yang
OP - Jiang Chuan, Dai Qing-yao
    OH - Zhang Jing-yin, Yu Yuan-tai, Liu Li-bin, Fu Hou-wen
    MB - Zhang Zhe-jia, Peng Shi-kun, Li Yong-zhen, Jiang Zhen-yang
    L - Yang Yi-ming, Yang Tian-yuan

    female NT:
    S - Yao Di, Diao Lin-yu
    OP - Gong Xiang-yu, Sun Xiao-xuan
    OH - Li Ying-ying, Wang Yi-fan, Wu Meng-jie, Zhuang Yu-shan
MB - Yuan Xin-yue, Wang Yuan-yuan, Zheng Yi-xin, Liu Yu
    L - Ni Fei-fan, Xu Jia-nan

  • I don't think Angie can make a difference either. She didn't play well in Rabita and her shape has got down. If you think she always plays better in NT, I'm quite doubtful this time.

It looks like Beier is the one you always blame for, but who can play better than her? can you name...? please? I hope you won't say Engelhardt :aww:

  • Kozuch made 11 faults of her 39 attack. If an opposite player is making %30 of her attack as direct mistakes, she is the one to be blamed  Her attack efficiency is almost same with Beier with much more faults, so why Beier bothers you only :what:

Cause stats dont show when a player makes the mistakes or points.Kozuch in general scores when the team needs her so she doesnt have to be play with 50 % already she had 41,6 % in total not bad.Anyway we simply dont think in the same way so no use to go on :drink:

  • I will pick one player who is very impressive from each team.

    Russia - Anna Malova
I hope Marichev goes with her as libero. I can tell that she's the best russian libero right now.

    Serbia - Brankica Miahjlovic
She seems to have developed a lot in attack also in reception. the experience in Cannes probably effected her. She's now a great partner of Brakocevic. I would say Serbia is the biggest favorite on ECH.

    Poland - Agnieszka Kakolewska
We now have a new block machine.

    Netherlands - Femke Stoltenborg
No doubt. Dear, Selinger can you see it now?

    Czech Republic - Michaela Mlejnkova
    I can't believe she's still 17.

  • I don't think Angie can make a difference either. She didn't play well in Rabita and her shape has got down. If you think she always plays better in NT, I'm quite doubtful this time.

If matthes were in the team you would also blame her always and in total there is not much difference between her with beier so please dont act like im the only one who blames a player :aww: already its not blaming for the lose, just im saying with this roster germany cant be succesful.Cause for now its so easy to beat them.Teams just serve effectively to brinker or between brinker and durr and damages the reception line. And then there are almost everytime double blocks for kozuch or the middles cause beier has not enough power to make points.

For me guidetti should try brinker-geerties,izquierdo or brinker-hippe at least he should try cause for now germany just waiting the opponents for losing :gone:

  • I'm glad that Serbia will almost certainly take three 3-0 wins from first weekend. :super: Reception needs to be better for next matches!

Nothing against China but why do they have privilege to play all three tournaments at home while some teams will change three continents? :aww:

Because the FIVB president is chinese...

Guidetti already tried all combinations you mentioned during European League and non of them seems to work (Izquierdo was weak at reception and Geerties's attacks are not ready for this level yet.) Only Hippe seemed to work positively but I doubt that that combination will have consistency against strong team. Anyway, two years ago, Germany does not seem strong neither but they manage to improve their level when it is really needed. Thus, I think you should give some time to them.

By the way any link for BRA-USA? I missed yesterday matches on this group, and don't want to miss this thrilling match too

  • Because the FIVB president is chinese...

Thanks, I understand  Poor USA, Serbia, Czech R. ecc. even if they reach the final tournament they will be dead tired

If I were a player and had to travel all continents, I would probably hate WGP  It's unfair that China always playing home...

  • Not sometimes, its almost everytime really hard to watch an oh who just try to make useless tips, yesterday whenever germany made a tip argentina won the point and when it takes for 4 or 5 points in a row its impossible to win.Already having 'stable' reception has no sense when its sure that one of your player wont/cant attack.Definetly it does NOT work.If guidetti thinks to go on with beier today germany would be slapped by italy and i'd be really happy :tzz:

This is absolutely NOT true and I was observing this very carefully during the match. Almost everytime German team made a tip, they got the point later in the rally. Either Argentina made a mistake in counterattack (which happened very often) or Germany blocked the ball or the team got another, BETTER attack opportunity where there was no need to tip the ball. So please, don't change the facts just because you don't like this way of playing :!: Of course it's more enjoyable to watch crashing spikes, but German attackers simply aren't athletic enough for that. Look at what happened when they tried crashing spikes, Kozuch got blocked all the time, and Brinker's crashing spike that almost tore the net down gave Argentina the last point :wall:

Btw, Where is Dianskaya? What made her worse than Shylyakhovaya? :what:

The fact that Dianskaya is a great slide attacker and Marichev obviously hates slides, plus Shlyakhovaya is a much better blocker than her.

It will be on Laola

  • this is not about privilege

First, FIVB president is brazilian, not chinese

Second, if you look at the WGP history that china played since 1993, you can see china played most matches at home , women's volleyball is especial in China , it has huge support, no matter the audience or the government ,In asia, china and japan market are important to FIVB, so you can see these countries host many FIVB tournament ,such as WGP, world cup, world champion。。。

at last, I think if your country can show enthusiasm, and volleyball has huge support in your country, i think FIVB would like to give the chances to your country to host as many matches as possible, money, enthusiasm, support, that's simple
