    Without watching the match, maybe the reason could be that today Nikolic plays instead of Molnar. Sure, individually she's better, but the team worked very well with Molnar as stabilizing element in the last matches beside the two big hitters.

    Actually, it should be OK in Rio. Ary Graca has a shaky presidency and I'm sure he will hope to get re-elected towards the end of 2016. There is clearly no extra money coming into volleyball and the public interest is still quite low. Graca can't change this, it's not in his hands. Thus something tells me that there may be no "home refereeing" at the Olympics, just to keep everyone happy. Plus all this campaign that FIVB has against the offenders like Spiridonov... if it continues like that it will inevitably hit Ze Roberto and Rezende as those two are clear and most logical targets. The World Championship would be interesting in this respect.

    Italian crowd doesn't know the rules. It's only a mistake to go into the opponent court with the foot or when you disturb the opponent, but Kozuch's feet were on German court and there was no Italian player near her, so everything was OK with the rules.

    This is what I keep on noticing and I think it is about the language/articulation. A latin-speaking Ref takes Portuguese or Italian as some kind of chatter while genuinely foreign Russian sounds like a full abuse. A Ref from e.g. Bulgaria would probably take it the other way round. Ideally, these episodes should be reviewed post factum - good job they have the video recordings now.
