  • Can you say what team young Busa is playing for? and what about her level?

She is playing for Vizura, very young team selected of the players bron from 94 to 97 and two ,,older'' players Maja Savic (93) and Jelena Medarevic (92). They are the most promising team in the country, but they are very young, their average age is 17... They are third in the league. Busa is the captain of the team, she is already one of the best players of the league. Busa and Cikiriz are getting the most balls from the setter, and has about 45% of attack, and solid at reception to, but struggeld in reception in some matches. I think she could be even better if she had a better setter

    thx :)
Busa can be an important Oh for serbian volley......how many teams consist of far young players like Vizura..how many teams are there like Vizura in the league?

  • There are very young players on literally every single team, but Vizura is the only one that relies exclusively on them. They also have the biggest prospect of Serbian volleyball, 16 year old OH/OPP Tijana Boskovic. She's originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina and has acquired Serbian citizenship recently. Despite her very young age (only turned 16 in March) she's been in the starting line-up almost the entire season.

Crvena Zvezda also has a very young team, the oldest player is the Hungarian NT setter Julia Millovits, born in 1990. They'll probably be champions again, but they haven't really been impressive this season. Their biggest asset by far is Ana Bjelica, but she will probably go abroad at the end of the season. And she has to, because she's outgrown the Serbian league and needs to move on in order to improve, I'm afraid she's started to stagnate somewhat already.

How many foreigners are playing in there and all of them are that young? born in 1990 etc..
what club is Ana Bjelica going to ? what about Bosnia&Herzegovina's volley level?

  • Julia Milovits is the only foregnier in the league. I don't know where is Bjelica going, but personally I would like it to be Italy. I think Italy is the best option for the young players.
About Bosnia& Herzegovina league's level I don't know, I know that they don't have any woman's national team, because they don't have money for that.
That areas are full of tall people and they have very good genetic predisposition fot playing volleyball. Many stars of the former Yugoslavia come from those regions.
I don't know how we are doing with the scouting in B&H, especially in Republika Srpska, most people in RS are Serb, I think that our federation is doing nothing about that. Most of the players would like to play for Serbia, especially when they don't have there any national team.
Tijana Boskovic is merit of Vizura, if they didn't bring her to the club, I think she wouldn't be invited to the national team.

its nice that those talents wont disappear due to being discovered by Serbia but id like to see those players playing for the real countries of theirs..like Bosnia&Herzegovian etc..

  • Much harder than expected, at one point Zvezda was losing 1-2 in the final series and had to play away, but they managed to pull through.

Not a brilliant season by any means. They are the champions mostly because the competition was quite weak, but if the young team of Vizura stays together they can overtake them in the future.
It's time for Bjelica to move on. Nikolina Lukic had a very disappointing season, I expected much better things for her. Ljubica Kecman had some decent perforrmances.

As for Spartak, the 18 year old MB Jelena Trnic looks like a good potential.
