    :what:
I dunno if that's good or not.
Walewska isn't playing well IMO. She did in Araçatuba, but not in Campinas yet. I'd like young players instead of her.
She is experienced and a leader anyway. Maybe it'll be good. I thought she was done with NT.
Gattaz is in good shape, but I'm surprised as well. Maybe Zé is looking for fast results.

  • :woohoo: :dance6: :dance4: :super:

just dont know why Daroit was not the first choice to replace Gabi..maybe cause of reception..dont know.

I understand going for experience in Mb..but I guess Id rather like to see CArol for example there...I think could be a good chance to try her. She's been doing so well this beginning of season...could be a good chance to try her in Nt level.

  • Any news about other teams? Except Russia and Brazil we know few American players that will be in Japan, however full roster is still unknown. How about Thailand, Japan and Dominican Republic?

Gold medal - World League 2013 Prediction Game
Bronze medal - World League 2012 Prediction Game

  • My Rússia team:

    Startseva - Isaeva
    Sokolova - Pasynkova
    Morozova - Shlyakhovaya
    Kryuchkova

    Pankova - Chaplina - Malykh - Dianskaya - Malova

  • My USA team:

    Glass - Murphy
    Hodge - Larson
    Harmotto - Gibbemeyer
    Miyashiro

    Hagglund - Fawcett - Hildebrand - Hill - Paolini

  • My USA team:

    Glass - Murphy
    Hodge - Larson
    Harmotto - Gibbemeyer
    Miyashiro

    Hagglund - Fawcett - Hildebrand - Hill - Paolini

Hildebrand - Larson will be a much better option in terms of passing so Alisha can keep her fast setting. In fact I think Karch will go with this line-up since Hodge had a break all summer and was not very spectacular during WCCH

  • Hodge didn't do well in WCCH in terms of attacking because she was put by Lang Ping as receiving opp but her passing has improved at least according to the stats. She finished 4th or 5th overall in passing. She's a quicker attacker than Kristin so I think Karch will try her first.

I'm not excited with Brazil's line up but I hope they do well.

  • Eurosport will broadcast WGCC in Germany :dance6:
So now I hope it will be a good tournament :D

Not only in Germany, in Poland too  I'm so happy! :D

  • The Dominican Republic team consists of outside hitters Bethania De la Cruz, Prisilla Rivera, Brayelin Martinez and Yonkaira Peña, middle blockers Annerys Vargas, Candida Arias and Marianne Fersola and opposites Gina Mambru and Jeoselyna Rodriguez. The setters are Niverka Marte and Karla Echenique, the defensive specialist Ana Binet and liberos Brenda Castillo and Winifer Fernandez.

  • So we're waiting for news from Japan, Thailand and USA ^^

I'm aware of her recent playing form so I know till now she is probably back in shape.. however she is not a better passer than Kristin so as much as I like her (Megan) I think she won't be a starter.. This USA team (2010-...) has been all about speed, middle attacks and combination plays,, they have better ball control so players like Kim Glass, Megan or Klineman won't fit 100%. Don't get me wrong Hodge is a great player, attacker especially. She has quality, she proved that many times (key player for USA versus China in 2012 Olympics), so we'll see what Karch will decide..

  • For this season-ending event, Kiraly has selected four outside hitters,
four middle blockers, two setters, two opposites and two liberos to fill
out the 14-player roster for the FIVB World Grand Champions Cup.
Outside hitters are Kristin Hildebrand (Orem, Utah), Kim Hill (Portland, Ore.), Jordan Larson-Burbach (Hooper, Neb.) and Cassidy Lichtman (Poway, Calif.). The middle blockers on the roster are Lauren Gibbemeyer (St. Paul, Minn.), Christa Harmotto (Hopewell Township, Pa.), Cursty Jackson (Los Angeles) and Lauren Paolini (Ann Arbor, Mich.). The opposites are Nicole Fawcett (Zanesfield, Ohio) and Kelly Murphy (Wilmington, Ill.). The setters are Alisha Glass (Leland, Mich.) and Jenna Hagglund (West Chester, Ohio). The liberos are Kayla Banwarth (Dubuque, Iowa) and Tamari Miyashiro
(Kaneohe, Hawaii). All but Larson-Burbach and Jackson were part of the
FIVB World Grand Champions Final Round squad that competed in Sapporo,
Japan, and finished in sixth place.

  • The biggest surprise is no Hodge here and instead her is Lichtman :what:

Gold medal - World League 2013 Prediction Game
Bronze medal - World League 2012 Prediction Game

  • I've never understood what USA coaches like about Lichtman.

You and me both. And you know what also? When I did my interview with Dani Scott just before WGP and asked her who made the biggest impression on her so far, what was her answer? Yep, Lichtman. I dunno, maybe she does some magic tricks during the trainings and we just can't see them.
