I'm not sure if you're right about that...a country can have one naturalized player that played for another NT, in Russia's case Obmochaeva, but afaik there is no overall limit for naturalized players. Azerbaijan NT would cease to exist if there was something like that!

Thanks, I never heard about that 2 naturalized player limit before, and as I said above, how can Azerbaijan NT play with that??? Mammadova is from Ukraine, Rahimova I think from Uzbekistan, Kovalenko I think from Belarus...

Thanks. but...unless I'm missing something, it only says that only one naturalized player that played for another NT of the same age group is allowed in NT, but I don't see anything about a limit for naturalized players who did not play for another Senior NT. So as Perepelkina and Valeria Goncharova both didn't play for the Senior NT of their native country, there is no reason why they couldn't be in Russian Senior NT at the same time

I think this is some sort of misunderstanding. It's clearly stated in the article that Perepelkina decided to pull out of NT in order to spend more time with her family, so perhaps the journalist drew some wrong conclusions when he saw Gonchareva's name on the list. -

I don't think Mammadova is counted as a "foreigner" since she played together with Inessa Korkmaz, and she definitely represented Russia before.
It must mean Mammadova never played on Ukrainian senior NT.I remember reading how Ukrainian team registered "Natalia Skazka" to play in some competition, and she didn't show up. Then some time later, they played against Azerbaijan, and they read there was a "Natalia Mammadova" on the team, but they didn't know who she was. And when they saw her, they realized it was actually Natalia Skazka!

Great roster, Rodrgio. But Masha Perepelkina has said she wants to take a rest and recover her injuries this year...I guess her spot will be filled by Morozova. On the other hand, Those 3 young hitters look extremely strong, but I don't really expect Kosheleva to play like 3 years ago...it still seems she hasn't recovered yet fully. for me Pasynkova and Zaryazhko are the biggest expectation.
