  • Finally I can possibly see Sirressi :rose: I'm also surprised to see Costagrande and Sorokaite together. It is possible because it's not FIVB's tournament?

With the fact Salina has been cut, we will have to see Matienko again. Why?

It must be possible, someone wrote that Sorokaite didn't play in Lithuanian senior NT.

I don't want to see her either, why Marichev didn't call Akulova or Uraleva :call:?

  • I suppose Sorokaite never played for Lithuania adult NT...but it's also possible that in tournaments like Yeltsin Cup the rules are not taken so strictly.

Yeah, that's what I thought so too. Goncharova sisters were on the Jeltsin Cup roster 2 years ago.

If I'm not mistaken, Irina Uraleva is injuried and recovering currently. Akulova, I have no idea. I think she played better than even Startseva last season in Moscow.

As far as I know, Valeria never played for Ukraine senior NT, so that's no problem anyway ;)

Yes, I recently read that Uraleva is taking the summer off for recovery. I hope Akulova will join the team for WGP. Matienko is bad, but I really don't think Salina would be the answer :S

I hope Marichev will go with Katja Pankova as main setter if he doesn't consider Akulova. Matienko is just a nightmare... About Salina, I don't think she makes a miracle on the court but at least deserves to be there.

Overall, Pankova played a great and fast volleyball in Montreux Cup (It had taken a quite long time to me to get used to the unfamiliar way for Russian volleyball actually  ) and I don't see anyone better than her.. ;)

  • I wasn't fan of Pankova in times when she was substitute in Zarechie, but since that time she became starter and improved a lot, now when Startseva isn't with NT yet, Pankova deserves to be a starter. Maybe Marichev changes his mind and call Akulova, I wonder when we'll see full rosters for WGP and who will play in August .

  • I wonder why Kakolewska isn't on the roster. she's only 19 year old and showed a great performance last WGP.

I can't wait to see Grejman. Many of you say she's a talented one and can be a great candidate for OH position of Polish NT. In fact, Poland lacks OH...Werblinska is the only outstanding one, others are weak. Kosek played great in 2010 but her level got down a lot afterwards. Kasprzak is too unstable and her reception is like :wavy: Sieczka too ordinary, Kaczorowska no words needed...

Maybe Kąkolewska will get a chance in more important tournaments like Grand Prix, look that it's rather Poland B team ^^ Werblińska had another problem with some injury, definitely we need someone like Grejman. I looked stats in turkish league and Kosek's stats were overall quite good, Kasprzak's reception isn't good but Poland needs high offensive player on left wing, Sieczka isn't better than her. Good for these girls that they can play on international level, however I don't except nothing special ^^ For ECH I'm a bit worried about middle, good players, however quite inexperienced. I read about Berenika Tomsia, she isn't with team because of ankle injury, but she can come back on ECH.

  • DR probably without Bethania, Annerys, Priscilla. Will play probably: Marte, Peńa, Arias, Rodriguez, Martinez, Fersola, Binet (L) add should be Martinez (sister of Brayelin), Echenique, Winifer, Nunez and Mambru. But of course coach haven't decided yet. This tournament should be preparing before U23 World Championship.

  • Japan will send the Universiade team for this year tournament. More Information from the Japanese list above.
