Friendly NT Matches

  • USA vs Brazil: August 27th and August 29th in Anaheim. Larson, Akinradewo, Adams, Robison and Hill will be back.

What`s Brazil roster? WIll Ze Roberto give the chance for players like Mara,Edinara,Lorene and so on, or he will play absolutely every match and tournament with the same roster that we will see in Tokyo, such as Natalia,Tandara,Adenezia etc....

Same thing will happen with the past cycle, they will arrive in Tokyo all gassed just like they did in Rio.

Same thing will happen with the past cycle, they will arrive in Tokyo all gassed just like they did in Rio.

The same happened before Beijing and London and Brazil managed to win both Olympics.
Stop using this as an excuse for the defeat in Rio 2016. Brazil lost by 15x13 in the tie break to the Olympic champions. It was a close match, it did not have anything to do with using full team during the cycle. China was simply better at the crucial moments. Just move on. And by the way, Edinara and Lorenne are with the U23 team. There are not as many new players as you think there are. Rosamaria, Drussyla, Bia, Gabi libero and others have had many chances this year already.

  • She retired, didn't she?

from what Ive heard she hasn't fully retired...... She is expecting now, and also expecting to rejoin USA NT in the near future... the thing is with rising stars like Hancock , Carlini , will be quite hard for her to show coach Kiraly she;s still at the same level shown at WCHP 2014... What a luxury fir the USA in regards to setters position... :drink:

  • Hancock is really nothing special, a mediocre settter IMO.. We've seen enough of her these last few seasons in Poland, and except for her serve she wasn't spectacular.. Even her serve was not effective for the NT in this WGP.. And don't mention the Pan Am Cup because the level of the teams there is much lower than the GP, so that explains her number of aces

    26x24, 25x18, 19x25, 25x15

No bonus set as far as I know

Brazil played with the same team as yesterday, but with Gabi libero replacing Suelen.
USA played with Courtney as libero and Whitney as OPP, but Drews entered in the middle of the match. Also Bartsch played during some parts.

  • Sorry, I hadn't seen your post

  • No bonus set.

Naine,Mara,Monique and Rosamaria played as well for Brazil. Rosamaria played the whole 3rd set.

  • USANT looked discombobulated. Lloyd's sets were low. Foluke had a hard time hitting the ball, a lot of miscues between them. Hill and Larson were not terminators. I know a lot had to do with them not practicing enough time with Lloyd. Lloyd had a good connect with the other players that have competed with each other. I wonder if Larson is injured. She kept rubbing her right shoulder. Drews played well.
Tandara is just a beast. Brazil's team is usually made up of the same players and plays consistently as a team.
