Patricia Soto came back to NT to fill the full 12 player Roster of Peru.
for old injury, Soto left NT couple of weeks ago for recovery and missed the overseas friendlies against Canada NT and Pink Spider of Korea.
as a leading player of Peru NT, her coming back made the squad more active to strive for the continental title.

champion in this tournament qualifies for the World Grand Champions cup and For 2014 World Championship..I guess there is why Brazil is with first team, though it is clearly not even necessary, as volleyball in South America is no longer (if ever was) developed enough.
For the qualification...I agree with you..I see no reason why to have two tournaments, but seems to be something FIVB request...go figer....
