2014 FIVB World Grand Prix

  • About Eda, she's still a decent player so she could be very helpful for rotations in NT. It seems Barbolini doesn't trust Özgenur much and Büşra is new Miss Avcı of Turkey.
Of course Eda can choose not playing in NT and we should accept this but it's so annoying that she keeps saying "I'm injured and I can't play :(((". She can say that she doesn't want to play and risk her health ?( Maybe she's afraid of federation but it doesn't sound very likely to me at the moment :|

I agree! But honestly Bahar-Kubra duo is really good that I don't think Eda could be in starting six any longer.
About Özgenur, Barbolini is confusing. Because in GsD he has only Özgenur, Asli Kalac and Melis Gurkaynak as MBs now and seems like they won't transfer anyone else. So I assume it is more of an experience issue than trust. I also liked the fact that he believes in her more than Busra Cansu

  • With Kübra and Bahar playing like this, nobody will miss Eda in the long run. She's not THAT good, just the (lack of) quality of other Turkish MBs made her look good in comparison. Not saying that she is bad though...

This is soo true! Indeed she was a great prospect in her junior year (better than Akman) She was even better than Thaisa when they both play in Junior WCh in Ankara. However, she didn't keep improving for a long time. All of our MBs were awful since Özlem Özçelik and Aysun Özbek, that's why Eda has never had any competition, she was the queen for her position. At the moment, she has still something to give to NT, but she is not a player whom federation must beg for coming to NT

  • Ryu,just add hola unblocker extension to your browser and then choose some other country :-)

that was awesome!! worked like a charm!! hahaha. thanks!! :drink:

  • Startseva totally forgets that she has MBs...well, with no big doubts they will beat Belgium only with the strong attacks of Kosha & Malykh, but this is so boring

  • I find Kosheleva's attack movement just so beautiful and efficient. She can balance height and power, attacking over the block on the back of the court. And she is gorgeous.

On the other hand, I always have the impression that Malykh, when scoring a point in attack, was actually lucky. She does not give me the impression of being very coordinated.

  • laola is suddenly bearable to watch again because of sunderland! :drink: really good insights and neutral commentating.

I second that, we no longer have to listen to the ridiculous british commentator saying "Vanzurovska" "Fan HECKe"

  • such an embarrassing play so far for pasynkova....

  • It seems Russia is playing MB0 :what:
If they did well in blocking like the first 2 sets, how could Japan beat them so easily

This Russian volley is like Gamova-Sokolova volley in 2004 Olympics...
    too boring
