2014 FIVB World Grand Prix

    I would prefer either Netherlands or Belgium in the 1st division than Germany with this shape...

    Congrats korea they will face with hard opponents in next rounds but they have chance with kim for sure,as for germany there is nothing much to say.They completly turned into the shape they had shown in 2009-2011 useless attacks,simple mistakes and with this sytle they cant win anything and they know it perfectly :whistle:

    Another great performance by the Korean team, this time vs Germany. Lee Jae Yeong scored 18 kills on 42 attacks which is not bad for a 17 year old rookie!

    I wonder how Azeryol Baku react after watching Nikolic's current form. I think she's already done as player...Terzic doesn't give a crap about this though. Malesevic and Molnar are wasted on bench... Brakocevic is so much missed today, Malagurski not playing very well, Bjelica not enough to play starter yet...only Mihajlovic is playing for her team :white:

    Nikolic is just useless these days. Her serve is ok but her spiking and reception are awful. If Terzic really believes that there are no OHs from Serbia better than her then he is a fool- but we all know that he is so...

    Yes, he is a real idiot... Nikolic basically has been ruining the match. I honestly haven't seen any good reception from her. Mihjalovic surely is bad at defense and reception but her role is killing balls, what about Nikolic? She does nothing and I hate her depressing faces when she makes errors. Bjelica should get prepared sooner by herself otherwise she will never make good shots, or Ognjenovic should pass balls slowly...


    Serbia could have won by 3-1, thanks to those stupid reception mistakes, It's a tie-break. Jelena Nikolic definitely should be kicked out from the team as soon as possible.

    Jeez, Terzic is so furious now, It seems like he's going to punch the referee's face.

    Without Jovana Serbia don't have a good enough OPP to seriously challenge to win these competitions. Malagurski and Bjelica are both decent, but neither are world class stars that can make up for her loss.


    Nikolic should just not be picked anymore, she has no role in the team, I don't care who he brings in but she has to go.

    Couldn't agree with you anymore, very well said. I totally knew Zivkovic would make an error immediately, same thing happened in ECH semi final against Russia last year.
    I don't really understand Terzic's decision. Molnar, Malesevic, Popovic and Ninkovic weren't given any chances to get to play so far, why did they bring them? They're tourists or what? Seriously lame. Nikolic WAS a great player like 6 years ago, but now she's just an useless old player, her reception is just embarrassing and her attacks ain't efficient anymore. She and Ognjenovic are there to lead the team as experiences players, but all Nikolic does is to make errors and then depressing faces. Since Serbia has got Mihjalovic and Brakocevic who are supposed to be killers, they should use a defensive OH who's able to consistently play in reception and defense. Malesevic, Blagojevic, Vesovic, Klisura and Busa may be called for that. Molnar, definitely not. She's the one who has to leave with her colleague Nikolic.

    Exactly, but the sad fact is that even if he does replace Nikolic (which I don't think he will) he would bring in Molnar whose performances for the last 2 years have been almost as bad as Nikolic. Terzic seems to have some kind of problem with Blagojevic- when he uses her she plays well, but he never uses her anymore for some reason. I hope very much that Terzic plays Malesevic for the next game, but I doubt it will happen because sadly Terzic has his favourites and Nikolic is one of them. :wall:

    I actually think Molnar is a worse case than Nikolic. She's now without club, she may not find any clubs that want her. If I'm not mistaken, she used to be a good defensive OH, but after spending a year in Japan she had a serious injury on her shoulder and her level dropped down so much, If the coach weren't Terzic, she never would have been invited to NT camp. Well, she should think of being libero otherwise there will be no chances for her career. Even if she does that, I'm not sure if she will be a decent one. Her reception isn't that great either unfortunately.


    Agree about Blagojevic. She played good in Bergamo and would have been a very useful player for example for today, but she never got called or will never get called by Terzic. I don't know what's up with Vesovic. I heard that she had a surgery last year and then hasn't been invited to NT either...

    What a team spirit and amazing support by Thai fans. They provided a really red-hot atmosphere at the Sangroksu Gym. CONGRATULATIONS!!

Nikolic made plenty of reception errors in critical moments, once she had a really easy chance to hit the ball but got blocked by Tomkom who's like 25cm shorter than her, besides there was no help blocker around. I don't think she was the only player who ruined the match, but she's just not the player Serbia needs right now.


    Serbian OPPs were asleep during the whole match. Malagurski was substituted for Bjelica in the 2nd set, both of them played so bad. Malagurski played as good as Brakocevic yesterday, but here's her problem. She never stays consistent, has a huge tendency to be unstable. One match she's a monster, another match she's not even visible on court. Bjelica, just not ready to play starter. She should work a lot with her setter...

    As I said earlier, her serve is still ok, but any stats that say she had the best reception are misleading. I have no idea how the FIVB managed to count 19 "excellent" receptions by her, but the fact is that Thailand targeted her mainly on their serve, so she had more opportunity to receive than the others. Cebic was undoubtedly far better at receiving than Nikolic today.


    I agree about the OPPs though, they didn't play well.

    You're right, Ognjenovic and Bjelica didn't seem to have much chemistry on court today, which is odd considering they played at Chemik Police together last season.


    Does anybody know why Zivkovic started? I mean Maja played the whole match vs Germany and Serbia won 3:0 so I have no idea what made Terzic start with Zivkovic.
