Why is ebata only a sub for Hitachi?

I heard that it is because of her injuries.

And I think Ebata was a subs for Hitachi on Empress Cup match last week as well.
I'm waiting for today's match against Okayama Seagulls whether she is a starting lineup or not.

Kurihara was injured last season and has been working her way back.

I don't think she has any injuries. But Hitsamitsu just has a lot of strong WS like Risa, Ishida, Nagaoka, Nomoto and Ishii.
So she just has to wait for her chance to come.

Kurihara injured again? She always have the worst luck with injury. I remember watching her in 2004 Athens, she was a great spiker back then; after her injury before Beijing she just kept getting blocked all the time. I hope she has a successful rehabilitation

Also, will she have to miss the whole season? Do you know?

Thanks for clearing it up! I think she was so good at national team that I'm not able to imagine her on the bench. I guess she'll grab it as soon as she can.
