Ivanov is a better player imo. I hope he will start vs Ger/Bel.
+10 from me.

It was the first time that i watched Ivanov playing. IMO he was a little bit nervous when he replaced Salparov. The Ducth players was serving in him all the time. But then he start to play better.
I only hope that the finnish fans didn't all flew back after the weekend. If not, Italy will be probably taught a lesson on the stands ![]()
Can people from Poland help me and tell me what should I do if my Polsat dekoder shows no signal, check connection? It happens while it's snowing and snow probably disturbs "plate" in working on my roof.
Do they send repairer for free or no? It's about move or do somehting with this "plate" if you know what I mean.
Wow, the netherlands is really looking bad so far ![]()
There seem to be more players and staff in the hall than "real"audience.....
Slovenia had no difficult in 1st set. They are a smart team. ![]()
This is a problem of volleyball. People just want to watch the games of their own country. They have no interest in watch a good volleyball game.
Some people are still on work in this time of the day. I doubt that there are many lovers of dutch and slovenian team in Sofia who will abandone their job for them.

I dont agree with u.
The gym is almost empty and for me it means that people in Bulgaria (or in Japan or any other country) have no interest in volleyball, just in watch their NT playing.
Slovenia won the game

Netherlands needs a better coach. They have some good players.
Geez, I thought Netherlands would be able to at least win one set...
Their game is as boring as Vermeulen's lack of enthusiasm. ![]()
Meanwhile, Estonia just took the first set against Serbia. ![]()

I would say interest in volleyball exists in general, but only as long as it is linked to one's national team for most people. This is a problem. There are very few countries in the world, not only in Europe, where those games would attract some reasonable amount of attention. I agree with you, the hall would've been this empty again had the match been scheduled later on. I hope, mainly because of Heynen's behaviour (also during the match Bulgaria vs, the Netherlands), that at least people will show up and support Belgium tonight. Another example - the sports hall in Varna was quite empty and we had the reigning world champions visiting, along with the great teams of Beglium and Slovenia. This is a big issue in our sport. I am sure people like us here in the forum would be among the exceptions, but most of us don't like just one team, but rather the game itself.
Yes, I am also very disappointed with the Dutch team. I could not watch the game because I was at work, but the score is surprising to me. The Dutch performance in the group stage was great, based on Slovenia's defeat to Belgium I was certain the Netherlands would make it through. I need to watch it.
Estonia's setter is looking really good today. 16-8 in the second set. ![]()
Serbia honestly look like they want to lose it.
25-14 in the second set, 2-0 for Estonia! ![]()

Except football (which is universally super popular) this happens in pretty much every other team sport. The exceptions are always when a competition is held in a country that has a big culture of said sport, e.g. volleyball in Poland or Brazil, rugby in England, Handball in Germany or Scandinavia, Basketball in the US, etc only in those countries you can see neutral games with good attendance numbers.
Estonia won 2 sets
I did not expect that.
They lost 3rd set 25x9 ![]()
OK, Serbia might even win this match now but i can't help myself from thinking that something doesn't fit in that team. Last year WCH was probably not only an accident...

What did he do?
