2014 / 2015 Transfer News

  • those features were what Larson meant for Kazan,lol..we'll see what kind of loss Larson's departure will be by new season.Sure Kazan is still a good team, would be exaggerated to define it as crippled.
a key player isnt the superstar of a team.a supporting/helping player.

  • that way looking on sport is really wrong, first of all, 3 players left team that were in first 6, not one. For sure that Kazan will hurt, how much we will see next season, but I will go back again to what I said in beginning. Kazan will hurt more when Gamova decide to retire or to leave team, than now when Larson decide to leave them.

Well of course you're right, Gamova is their scoring machine and they are a Russian team after all.. But we have seen before with Makhno that Gamova and another OH were not good enough.. Now Moroz is also gone and their libero who was a big reason why they played the way they did.. They reception is now way worse and if Evgenia goes back to 'all-b alls to Gamova' strategy I don't see them going far in CL and even in Russia since now a lot of teams have gotten stronger..

sure Gamova is the biggest "attacking"weapon of them but she was able to get the title just last year, this tells something to us.
what do you think Kazan would have done if we had took Gamova out of the team and put Montano instead but imaginin Larson and the others were still in the team also ?

  • Loss of pair Larson - Ulanova can be a problem. Now without another good receiver next to Del Core they may have a problem... Startseva would run a lot and it can affect her b alls delivery to others except Gamova.

Then we have 3 foreigners, while in Russia limit is only 2 :!: , so it can't happen unless either Montano or Larson-Burbach ot Del Core gets Russian citizenship.

  • They haven't announced their new foreign players yet. But as they have a spanish-speaking head coach, i wouldn't be surprised. :drink:

Confirmed now by Volley Köniz  .

BTW: Swiss NT MB Sandra Stocker (who also played last season in the spanish league) returns to the swiss league and will play for VBC Cheseaux and Sandra Rojas will join VBC Cheseaux' coaching staff.

  • @ USAVolleyfan, I agree, then strength should be similar of course ^^

  • kondzio I think he meant another strong OPP... Then Obmochaeva and those 2 and Kazan would be as strong as before..

I don't agree. Obmochaeva currently isn't on Gamova's level. Not even close to it. And she's not a leader of the team, like Gamova is.

  • Good for Azeryol....she is still one of the top mb in the world imo.

    I agree! It's a pity she'a leaving Russia.
This little interview is quite nice. She says that she respects and appeciates Karpol so much that she promised if she'll have a son, she'll call him in the name of Nikolay Karpol. That's sweet)))
