    IMHO Natalie Hagglund is the best option as starting libero.

    I considered Tom and D. in the team, I hope they'll be back for the WCH.


    I guess I would put the same players there.. About Natalie not sure she can handle that much pressure right away.. We'll see how many chances she'll get in WGP and how she will perform there because during Montreux she also shared court time with Davis so... Also I would like to see Logan back but I think she won't be there for WCH. Maybe Rio? Even if she gets back there is not time for her to get back to her real shape because she had almost a 2 years break... Also about Destinee, I don;t know how her physical shape is right now, but even if she gets back there she needs matches before WCH and she won't get them if she does not play WGP. But I am there with you... those 2 are the best on their positions..

    Honestly, If Kiraly is making tests with Alix as opp...dont know....maybe he is not considering having Hooker back.


    which I kind of understand..yes, she is incredible player...above most in her best shape....but she always have such drama around her....that can be terrible for a group...and for sure can get in the way of a good work aiming the Olympics....maybe he just dont wanna risk that.

    I don't know if its me or you all noticed.. Isn't Klineman's arm swing a little bit slow and not full.. I have noticed this watching the replay because is so much better quality.. looks like she wants to hit hard and never finishes her hit.. also she is not a slow player but she hits rather slow... It's just an observations not that I blame her or something like that.. I give her time to get back into her real shape and in this new 'TEAM A situation' which a rather new to her

    She is very young. Has a good pass, good attack, blocking and a very strong serve. In my opinion, she can play along with Larson for many years by the U.S. team.

    Yeah. Larson, Robinson, Hodge and Klineman should be the OHs for US team. Hildebrand is a good player but she's all behind Larson and Robinson should be better than her.


    Hodge and Klineman are terrible passers but good attackers, so they're needed.

    I cannot agree with you. Why do you guys underesimate a great player like Kristin Richards? I think that 3 all around players: Kristin, Kelsey and Jordan should be in the NT and next to them maybe Hodge? I do not like 'the old' american team with black girls (Hodge, Hooker and even Akinradewo). I prefer this team from previous season with Gibbemeyer, Harmotto and Paolini/ Adams in the middle, Murphy, Faucette as an opposite, Glass and Huggland/Lloyd as a setter, Hildebrand, Larson, Robinson and maybe Hill, I don't knpw who should be the 4th OH.

    I personally can't understand why people overestimate Kristin for years. She's very average in attack and now even in reception she's the weak link. She's just no good for current Us team.

    I think that if Karch tries Klinemann as OP, then Hooker may not be ready for WCH :whistle: competition for places in team should be interesting :box:

    Hodge is definitely out of the picture because there has been no news about her for a long time :whistle: Hooker may be not ready, so she's in italic. Probably Logan Tom is also excluded...


    First cut from list is probably Regan Hood, who isn't registered to WGP, also Natalie Hagglund is not here, she's 4th L, but she definitely has potential to be higher in hierarchy instead of Davis :whistle:
    I don't know how about Carli Lloyd, she's on the list for GP, but probably not with team right now :whistle: Bailey Webster seems to be too young to get a spot this time...


    Eventually we can end up with roster like this:

    IMHO Lichtman (instead of Hildebrand or Robinson), Paolini (instead of Adams or Gibbemeyer) or Banwarth (instead of Davis or Miyashiro) have also quite big chances to make it to final roster. J.Hagglund (instead of Thompson) with Klinemann (instead of Fawcett ?() have smaller chances.


    Maybe thre's still a place for Hooker and Lloyd (here I don't think so :whistle: ), who knows ?(
    I don't think that Dixon will be in final line-up, all MBs here are better than her :wavy:

    After watching the Montreux matches and the 2 USA Volleycup matches in California, I feel like the strongest USA roster at this time would be:


    Setters - Glass, Thompson

    MB - Akinradewo, Harmotto, Gibbemeyer, Adams
    L - Banwarth, Davis


    I hope that Karch brings the following players (who are on the traveling roster) to different legs of the Grand Prix tournament to give them experience and develop depth:
    Setter - Lloyd
    Opp - Webster
    MB - Dixon


    IMO Fawcett and Paolini are good role players but have peaked in terms of playing.


    Other players who I think have good potential developing with the National Team are:
    Kreklow (setter), McClendon (OH), and N. Hagglund (L)

    I agree with you, but is not only Kristin overestimated, most of American players are, find me Americans who play in Club on high level as they do in National team.

    Americans are underestimated in the club scene because most of them can't receive well. Their middles are the only ones visible in high level clubs because of their athleticism. Another factor is the type of play that they are running in the NT compared to the club. Their NT offense is so much faster than clubs which polarizes the players when they are given high ball.

    I totally agree with you! First about Kristin I think this crazy fast sets are not working for her in NT but for example in WGP 2012 she was great bacause Alisha set her fast but high enough so she was rippin the ball.. Other Americans are really underestimated... If Italy was not in such crisis Lloyd for example would have never got a chance to play there and we saw how good she played while healthy. Also who would hire Gibbemeyer she was barely known to the public when she went to Japan and after that to Pesaro and look how good she is.. She is better than any Turkish MB or other European country (have nothing against Turkey :win: )
