  • Even if I personally cheered for SESI, I'm happy for Pinheiros!!
Now the league semms more balanced than a couple of years ago, but it I think Rexona and Sesi have something more. Let's see how it goes on!
    Fabiana is on fire :super:

  • Minas won 3x1 against Osasco!  The team has 3 consecutive wins against strong rivals (Praia, Pinheiros and Osasco). Two players impressed a lot: the young setter Naiane (20 yo, 1,80) and libero Lais (18yo). Carla also did a nice match (22 pts), but for the NT future, the first ones are the way to go!!

  • If only Carla were just 10-12cm taller...
Minas would be even more deadly if they had a solid libero. Rest of their starter squad is really good! Jaqueline is still a killer in defense, Naiane is a great prospect (for the NT even, along with Macris from Pinheiros) and Mari Paraíba has been doing very well. Quarterfinals of the league this year may turn out to be really interesting. :D

  • Rexona beated Minas in five sets today.

Very interesting match. Minas started better, very good first set for Jaque. But in second Rexona made some changes, Regis and Andreia replaced Naty and Bruna and the team improved, the team anulated Jaque's game to win 2nd and 3rd sets. In fourth set, Rexona start well, but didnt take the chances to open in the set, they let down their guard, and Minas took advantage of that. turning the set around after the 16 point. just in the end of 4th set, Fofão got injuried...her calf again... ;( I just hope its not to serious, so she can end her last season playing.

In tie-break, Rexona block decided. Also Gabi was amazing during the hole game...30 points!

Good win for the team, though they are still not playing as they did already this season, they decreased a bit their level.

    (23-25, 25-22, 25-19, 20-25, 15-7)

  • I never thought Gabi would become such a scorer. She must be a starter with Jaque considering Garay's shape

  • I was just about to post the same thing. lol
Weird timing for Tandara. Congrats to both, though! Hope it doesn't change anything regarding Tandara's chances for a spot in the NT for the Olympics.

Well I think she won't be there. Olympics are year and a half away and I don't think there is enough time ti get back to the shape she would have to be in. I am happy for her, congrats to both of them, but considering Sheilla's not so good shape Brazil will need a strong OPP.
