Germany - DVL 1. Bundesliga 2014/15

  • I watched a bit the game, waiting for the soccer game... Munster looks so hopeless... they can't score any break point and it's very bad since they have Benson that's touching everything over the net. Karine Muijlwijk spikes so hard! :super:

With Kemmsies as setter (18 years) and Ossowski as OPP (1.74 tall  ) they are playing better now...

  • Münster - Wiesbaden 1:3 (17:25, 18:25, 28:26, 17:25)
    http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2014-15/Women/&2011.pdf
MVP: Sarah Petrausch / Iveta Halbichova

Andi Vollmer with two very smart tactical changes in the line-up today: he let Rebecca Schäperklaus play as MB who is obviously always VERY motivated against her former club and he played with Halbichova as setter who is so far completely unknown in German league so Axel Büring couldn't prepare Münster for her game. Wiesbaden with an excellent and very disciplined tactical performance, they don't have great individuals but Andi Vollmer always prepares them very well and has a good plan. Münster made too many errors to have a real chance, only in 3rd set they played well. Also in block Wiesbaden was miles better.

First setter of Wiesbaden was injured on her wrist, she was only doing warming-up but no match for her. Karine Muijlwijck told us after match.

  • Katharina Schwabe (Dresden) out for whole season

    http://www.dresdnersportclub.d…chwabe-stark-getr%C3%BCbt

There MUST be a curse on Dresden. No other club in the world has so many injuries every season like Dresden!!! The season has just started and Schwabe is their 3rd injured player already. And how bitter must it be getting such a serious injury falling down the stairs on the way to training??? :wall:

  • Schwerin signed Dutch OPP Lonneke Sloetjes who was supposed to play in Italy but her team was eventually not allowed to play. So Schwerin has 3 OPPs now (Hippe, Sloetjes, Aulenbrock) and in the last matches Weihenmaier played as OPP and did a good job there too.
Ivonee Montano has finally arrived in Potsdam and is eligible to play tomorrow.

    Many interesting matches tomorrow:
    1. November 2014
17:30 Dresden - Vilsbiburg - last year's champion vs last year's Cup winner and vice champion
    18:00 Köpenick - Potsdam - the Berlin-Brandenburg derby
18:00 Hamburg - Schwerin - the Northern derby
19:00 Aachen - Münster - the Western derby
    19:00 Thüringen - Stuttgart

All matches except the last will be streamed on http://www.vbl.tv

  • And what do we learn from this?
As a big german talent, that is not good enough for german NT right now, you should never ever go to Schwerin!
Carina Aulenbrock should definitely search for another team in Bundesliga now!

but somehow they always manage to get good results. i guess because they have good transfer policy..

  • Dresden - Vilsbiburg will be a loooong match if they go on like this. Almost every point so far has been a long rally...

How the hell could Oosterveld play as libero in Dutch NT? Her reception is a nightmare :white: As is Vilsbiburg's reception overall...

  • Dresden - Vilsbiburg 3:0 (25:15, 25:23, 25:21)
    http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2014-15/Women/&2014.pdf
MVP: Cursty Jackson / Liana Mesa
In 1st set Vilsbiburg had no chance at all, later the match was more balanced but Dresden was never in real danger. Vilsbiburg was simply terrible in reception and I think with this team they won't have a big chance to reach top 4 this season.

    Köpenick - Potsdam 0:3 (24:26, 23:25, 23:25)
    http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2014-15/Women/&2013.pdf
MVP: Kindra Carlson / Giulia Carraro
Bitter result for Köpenick, it could have ended the other way round too. Potsdam had good control over Carlson but also the other way round their own attackers were not so strong. Montano made her debut today. Radzuweit was out with a hand injury and 3rd MB Antonia Klamke was not there too so Lisa Gründing had to play as MB and did a surprisingly good job there.

    Hamburg - Schwerin 1:3 (25:21, 18:25, 20:25, 18:25)
    http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2014-15/Women/&2016.pdf
MVP: Alexis Olgard / Yvon Belien
Hamburg won 1st set with 7 points in a row after 18-21 but in the long run Schwerin was too strong. Belien with a stellar match both in attack and block, she has a very good connection with Nenova. Hippe played 1st set, even though her stats look decent she was not convincing at all to me, she doesn't jump well and most of her points were lucky block-outs.

    Aachen - Münster 0:3 (19:25, 13:25, 25:27)
    http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2014-15/Women/&2015.pdf
MVP: Maja Burazer / Ines Bathen
Great reaction by Münster after their slightly disappointing match last week, Aachen had a chance only in 3rd set but Münster was very strong today. Ines Bathen is an amazing player, only 1.71 tall but she goes full risk on every attack and succeeds well enough, plus her solid reception is very important for the team.

    Thüringen - Stuttgart 0:3 (10:25, 15:25, 17:25)
    http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2014-15/Women/&2017.pdf
MVP: Nikola Nemcova / Renata Sandor
After a good start into the season, today Thüringen had no chance at all :white: I don't know if they played so bad or Stuttgart so good but the result is VERY clear...

  • Thank you :)..I saw that Malevic has better reception :)
she will better and better in reception :)
Cutuk is better in attacking ..she will be very good MB in the future

  • Hello, now my impressions to the match Aachen-MS:
I was surprised how easy we won the first two sets. Our tactis in services functions well and the reception line from Aachen gets in trouble again and again. Also Benson finde back her form out the last season. And what Bathen sometimes played in attacks are awesome and was the correct choice as MVP for me. But for sure it was a good Team work from my Team. In PK Rojko has lost a few words, but mainly he was shocked over their performances. All players played very weak today.

  • Theo draw for the quarterfinals DVV-Pokal:
    Köln/Vilsbiburg - Dresden
    Thüringen/Münster - Erfurt/Potsdam
    Stralsund/Hamburg - Aachen
    Stuttgart/Wiesbaden - Schwerin

a good draw fort Münster, because of playing in front of her Fans against Potsdam

    Date of playing 3.12.2014

  • No big surprises in 1st round of DVV Cup, only the victory of Stuttgart over Wiesbaden is a bit unexpected but nothing out of this world either. None of the 2nd league teams could win a set against 1st league teams but in most matches there was at least one tight set, only Hamburg and Potsdam won all 3 sets with good difference.
We have stats only from the matches hosted by 1st league teams.

    NawaRo Straubing - Dresdner SC 0:3 (26:28, 15:25, 16:25)

    Stralsunder Wildcats - VT Aurubis Hamburg 0:3 (16:25, 15:25, 20:25)

    DSHS SnowTrex Köln - Rote Raben Vilsbiburg 0:3 (27:29, 8:25, 23:25)

    SWE Volley-Team - SC Potsdam 0:3 (10:25, 9:25, 15:25)

Allianz MTV Stuttgart II - Ladies in Black Aachen 0:3 (14:25, 13:25, 23:25)

    Köpenicker SC - Schweriner SC 0:3 (18:25, 17:25, 20:25)
    http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2014-15/Women/&8008.pdf
Both teams with rather low attack % but Schwerin was better in serve and block.

    Allianz MTV Stuttgart - VC Wiesbaden 3:2 (19:25, 27:25, 19:25, 25:23, 15:13)
    http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2014-15/Women/&8009.pdf
Wiesbaden was up 9:5 in 5th set, then Mareike Hindriksen came to serve and at was 12:9 for Stuttgart when she finished. Malevic had to do 64 receptions :!: with 12 errors :S

    VolleyStars Thüringen - USC Münster 1:3 (17:25, 25:22, 16:25, 22:25)
    http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2014-15/Women/&8010.pdf
Münster with very efficient serving and good attacking. I'm still not too fussed about Silge playing as OPP though....but then Münster lost their 2 OPPs from last season and did not sign any new one, so someone has to do the job.

    So the quarterfinals are:
    Vilsbiburg - Dresden
    Münster - Potsdam
    Hamburg - Aachen
    Stuttgart - Schwerin

  • Program for the weekend:

    8. November 2014
    18:30 Potsdam - Thüringen
    19:00 Vilsbiburg - Köpenick
    19:00 Schwerin - VCO Berlin
    19:00 Wiesbaden - Aachen
    19:30 Stuttgart - Hamburg

    9. November 2014
    14:30 Münster - Dresden

All matches except Stuttgart-Hamburg will be streamed on http://www.vbl.tv, Münster-Dresden is the "match of the week" with full production, the others as 1 camera stream.

  • Potsdam - Thüringen 3:1 (25:23 25:27 25:19 25:22)
    http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2014-15/Women/&2019.pdf
MVP: Lisa Gründing / Martina Jelinkova
Lisa Gründing again as MB, Kathy Radzuweit has a broken finger but I don't know what's up with Potsdam's 3rd MB. Anyway Gründing does quite well as MB, better than on her usual position as OH/OPP  Lizbeth Sainz and Ivonee Montano travel to some Southamerican championship now and won't play next week for Potsdam. Anika Brinkmann blocked 10 times :white:

    Vilsbiburg - Köpenick 3:1 (25:12 20:25 25:21 25:16)
    http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2014-15/Women/&2018.pdf
MVP: Liana Mesa / Pia Riedel
Linda Helterhoff as 1st setter and Vilsbiburg plays better apparently. I think Keylla Ramos was not a good transfer. Mesa with a good match, in Köpenick only Barfield and Neumannova played well apparently.

    Schwerin - VCO Berlin 3:1 (25:14 25:13 21:25 25:11)
    http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2014-15/Women/&2139.pdf
MVP: Saskia Hippe / Marie Schölzel
Major 3rd set relaxation from Schwerin so the junior girls could win it. Good match from Saskia Hippe, looks like she is getting back into shape. Weihenmaier as OH today, probably now that Hippe is improving and Sloetjes is there too she will return to that position. I did not like what I saw from Schwerin, it looked like Koslowski wants to play a similar speed as USA NT and that with Imoudu as setter today :aww:

    Wiesbaden - Aachen 3:1 (25:22 25:14 23:25 25:22)

    http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2014-15/Women/&2022.pdf
MVP: Izabela Sliwa / Ivona Svobodnikova
Strange match, Aachen was leading all 1st set but lost in the end, then had no chance in 2nd set, then they won 3rd set from being 20:23 down, were leading until 20th point of 4th set just to lose it again. Wiesbaden not with a very convincing match but it was enough, Aachen is a disappointment so far. They're the only team except VCO that hasn't won a match yet. The only really convincing transfer they made is Svobodnikova who has been their best player in the most matches so far and also today, Markovic is a very good talent as well but other than that...they're not good this season so far.

    Stuttgart - Hamburg 3:1 (25:17, 25:10, 25:27, 25:18
    )
    http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2014-15/Women/&2020.pdf
MVP: Kim Renkema / Veronika Kettenbach
After a difficult start into the season Stuttgart seem to use their potential now, if they can keep their reception at least solid they're very dangerous. Hamburg is a disappointment again, their MBs are pretty good but everyone else not...

Tomorrow, 14.30 live on http://www.vbl.tv Münster - Dresden, could be an interesting match. I wonder if Dresden has more than 2 healthy OHs again these days...
