So AZE decided to rest their 2 best players today, real class!
2018 FIVB World Championship - Japan
-
-
So to make a clear prediction: CHN, ITA and USA will make it to the next round.
From now on I‘m rooting fot Italy (European Teams at all).
-
Lippmann equalized Gontcharova (USA match) with making 36 points also in a tie-break match.
Actually based from FIVB page, Lippmann scored 1 point less, but still an amazing 35 points. But Goncha is now gone from the tournament so
-
I'm really happy for the win, Aze played an horrible match and rested Rahimova: the commentators said she might have some problems at her shoulder.
Go girls, keep that fire lit!!!
-
Whatever happens in our pool, I hope Italy learned the mistake of playing with its key roster at 100 percent for the entire, useless, preliminary stages. I don't want to see another 2014 WCH, let's rest our players immediately after reaching the qualification to the final six and make a good use of the bench. Sylla, Egonu and Bosetti have been squeezed like lemons.

Goncharova has a shoulder injury now and will likely not only miss the remainder of this competition, but months of play for Moscow in Russian Superleague, I fear.
-
Good job by the Italians, but except for the second set (where we also did several mistakes) there were practically no match...
-
Best game of the tournament....and all the European fans missed because they were being lazy by not wanting to wake up early to watch .......
well I did stay up until 4 watching the early matches and had to be up at 7, we do need SOME sleep. Big congrats to Germany, I admit I did not expect that at all.

What on earth is Rivera still/again doing on court? She's old and overweighted (though less as before I think) and can't kill a ball. I hope Brayelin comes in soon...
-
THA is doing well and leading so far
-
First half of first set and I swear I heard this "here comes the boom boom boom" annoying thing EIGHT times already
-
Japan is having a block party against DOM lol
-
Ouch! 7-2 Chinese streak
-
I don't know about making the Final 6 yet but it looks like Japan's Summer of Darkness might be over
-
It's incredible how DOM just never improves They've been making the same mistakes for 10 years or so now. There is no way they can get blocked over and over again by the short Japanese girls. DOM players are all about physique, they have zero game intelligence (except Castillo).
-
Great effort from Thailand but China just too strong. Meanwhile DOM just look like they’re playing in slow motion.
-
any links for DOM x JPN? sportsdeutsch just froze again...
-
oh rats. lost the Japan match on sportde.tv
