Before today, I would say I'm looking forward to TUR&USA tomorrow, but now I think TUR would just be swept away. I guess there won't be any upsets.
-
how many times can JPN hit the ball into the net, have it roll over for a kill? they are the luckiest team ever...
-
Luck favors the prepared mind
-
finally DOM block, defense and counter-attack are working... they might take this set.
-
nagaoka looks unrecognizable to me.

If there's one thing about Guidetti I know, then it's that he never allows his teams to play two bad matches in a row. I expect a reaction from his players tomorrow. Might not be enough to put USA into trouble, but surely I expect them to show a different attitude than today.
-
what a contrast of styles... there's only one tall JPN player (araki) but the way they defend and control the ball is always so awesome.
-
“Here comes the boom” seriously needs to just go away now. Practically half the points in CHN-THA are followed with that. Either that or something from the complete Avril Lavigne collection.
In Chinese language, “Here comes the boom” even hears like "Yi, Er, San, Woo!" [One, Two, Three, Go! in English language]
-
DOM finding some angles. Come on Japan I need to go back to bed

I certainly hope so, but I won't keep my hopes up. Not only the players, Guidetti looked defeated today, not sure if they can adjust in one day.

Jineiry Martinez is such a terrible server. She has something like 4 errors out of 5 attempts so far, and that from a more or less standing (I don't count that little hop as "jump") float serve
EDIT And now she scores an ace
-
Thais not playing well...and even then it's a close game. Yan Ni and Zhang Chang Ning playing below par. Thais really miss Acharaporn.
In theory, Hu Ming-yuan should replace Yan Ni not only for serve. Zhang Chang-ning didn't play one international match before WCH this year but she is still better than Liu Xiao-tong and Li Ying-ying [Duan Fang, Liu Yan-han and so on] now. Therefore, she has to pay her attention to all the matches of WCH 2018 though she is not 100% healthy.
-
go DOM... keep this up and take this set. what a bomb by bethania on that last ace.
-
It's like watching two totally different DOM teams. Now they play defense, they hit smart, they look motivated. No comparison to what they showed in set 1.
-
Will DOM be doing Brazil a favor, like Germany did for Japan?
-
DOM trying to pull a Germany lol. I hope Nakada keeps this squad on the floor even though they are struggling
-
If DOM really wins this, all of JPN BRA GER DOM will have 4-2 wins, which would make the race for 3rd place very interesting.
