European Championship 2017 Azerbaijan&Georgia

  • 2017 European Championship will be held in Azerbaijan and Georgia. :super:

One group will play in Georgia (probably Tbilisi), one group in Azerbaijan (Guba), and 2 groups in Baku. Semi finals and final will be held in Baku.

  • One reason of having it in Georgia is also to promote volleyball in that country. I like CEV's decision. Armenia-Azerbaijan would not work for political reasons.

  • President of Polish Federation said, that Poland applies for women's ECH 2019 and WCH 2022 and it resulted a positive response from CEV and FIVB.

  • Don't forget Turkey NT also didn't have any international success till 2003 European Championship.

Maybe, 2017 European Championship will be a new phase for Georgian volleyball ^^

If we talk about NT, yes it is true. But Turkey had a lot of success with club teams and has volleyball culture. But we can not say same for Georgia. I know only Ravva, if I hear Georgia in volleyball. Anyway, I support them in this way and neighboor of Turkey with Azerbaijan :rose:
