I hope Italy doesn't give up.. Serbia is playing amazing, but let's try to turn it around!!
Men's World Championship 2018

Never seen so many foot faults in a match before.
-
Serbia clearly has done their homework on defending Zaytsev.
-
Serbia is defending like a mix of japaneses and thais
-
3-0 loss may mean elimination to Italy if Serbia gives the match to Poland

I don't think so, nobody wants to play USA.
-
WTF Giannelli is doing ?
-
Why not Randazzo?
-
No way Italy can save this match. And after all the controversy of Italy being in the "easier" pool
-
Congrats to Serbia. They played superb, nothing say. Outclassed!
-
Why not Randazzo?
Parodi or Antonov you mean but they're not in Turin. I like Randazzo but he's not a good passer and considering Italy's reception right now, he's the last person you want to send inside the court.
-
Best opposite of the competition definitely between Atanasijevic vs Anderson
-
That error will be the last nail in the coffin.

I mean, they should at least give it a try, already behind so many points.
-
Congrats Serbia, I did not expect a such easy win. Now Italy's back's against the wall, they have to beat Poland, I hope they do.
-
Serbia's serve in this match reminds me of 2016 when they won the world league. It's impossible to win when you're dealing with that kind of pressure. The only way to counter it is to produce the same type of pressure from the serve as well. Unfortunately, It wasn't only Lanza who's missing but the whole Italy.
-
Surprise, Mazzone was Italy's best score in this match. Zaytsev 7/24, Lanza 4/13, Juantorena 4/11
-
Oh fly! I couldn't watch most of the match and I was very sad to realize we were losing 2-0 16-21... the only good thing I witnessed is Lanza serving well twice in a row on a match point. Of course if it would have been 23-24 he would have missed, though
From the things you wrote, at least I'm "glad" we lost playing badly, and not playing well (so, it's sad we played badly, but it's good we can improve).
Now being the last team playing is not very convenient, with a 3-0 defeat our destiny would probably be decided yet...
Plus the wait can kill our minds...

I don't think anyone could have beaten Serbia the way they were playing today

Honestly, this. Now let's wait, maybe they won't have one of their usual mental implosions and lose 3:0 to Poland. For what I'm concerned, if they play like this then nobody will stop them all the way to the gold medal.
As for Italy... Let's say I'm not exactly in a hurry to see them lose 3:0 to Brazil once again and over and over. Our ambitions have been enormously reduced though. A bronze would be a success as of now.

yeah I was listening the interviews, the italian and also Atanasjevic said that they played a great match, with everything working well, while Italy couldn't make it work.
But I wanted to smash our commentators (including Mastrangelo) for speaking about Ivovic like it's the first time he's playing with Serbia.
They kept saying "this Ivovic did very well", "he surprised me from the service line" etc (at least Zaytsev said he wasn't particulary surprised by anybody specific performance in Serbia because he knows how good they can play...)
