That's weird. So Pedulla did not notice it? I mean, it was a close set and the last chance for his team...he should be more careful.
At the end of the match, I never saw any german assistent complaining...and things looked ok.
By the way, Kozuch passed by the fans at the hall (we were like 2 meters away from her) and she ignored everyone...there were a few people yelling her name to take pictures, but she didn't even look at us...I found this attitude weird, because she looks like a sweet girl.
On the other hand, Brinker was so sweet and gave us much attention at the end. The same for Weiss, Thomsen, Hanke and other girls.
I took picture with some of them
That's not like Kozuch at all, so I guess her head was busy with what happened before...
Wow..that is a big mistake indeed! Will Germans enter with any complains with FIVB?
As far as I understand they tried to protest after the match referring to the protocol but referees didn't accept it...
I was watching the end of the match again now..and actually I think the table referees made the mistake before, cause when the game was 20-17, (correctly in TV score)...Garay attacked, and the TV score went to 21-17, but brazilian comentador said it was 22-16, he was probably seing the score in the gym, that was wrong cause the table was wrong.
Then happened Dani Lins net, the match should go to 21-18, but the table was wrong, so went to 22-17, that was the moment tv score putted the score it was in the table....so the mistake happened actually before that moment.
I think it was in Dani's first net, when the game was 20-15. But its hard to know when exactly the table made the mistake, It has to get their score and see the set point by point again.. Anyway, it was a terible mistake!
Thanks.

Yes. I think that it doesn't exist a way in which Poland and Bulgaria to be pretenders for organisation of whatever volleyball championship and this to be given to Bulgaria. Bulgaria has some lobby in FIVB and CEV but it's very small in comparison with the polish lobby. But actually the thruth is that Poland spend so much money only for volleyball that Bulgaria cannot give for all existing sports in the world. So how we said in Bulgaria who give the money he orders the music ( in the restaurant ) So i'm sure that if Poland wasn't a candidate for organising Final Four in division 2 Bulgaria will give it but now we should wait next year and to hope Poland to qualify for Division 1.

Either way, Poland will probably at #4 and Bulgaria at #5, so being the host is not giving them any real advantage...

Why do you think so ? Hosting is a big advantage especially if you have a target to win division and all your best players play. We can beat all teams that are on Final Four if were a host. Only Poland is so uncomfortable team for us. I don't know what are Poland ambitions by hosting this Final Four but i'm sure that if we were a host we will try to win it as we do in Division 3.
Too many Easy mistakes for USA now (sorry, couldn't resist
)
you have reached a new lowe, my friend.
deian and others,
sorry i don't know he BUL team very well, but i do know the PUR a little bit better. i noticed sheila ocasio is back? she's so useless… PUR should be a much better team if they can just get their act together. rosa, karina o., aurea cruz, morales, enright and oquendo, they can all kill if given the right set. seilhammer a good libero.
i did watch some of the BUL matches at the WCh… didn't they beat TUR? i thought their best players were rabadzhieva, elitsa vassilieva and filipova? but they are not playing in the WGP, right? so no wonder they suck… they are missing the big girls.
i don't know CRO at all but i remember that 10 years ago they were very promising to be the next breakout team. but i didn't happen. their coach is a totally insane ridiculous crazy from what i have seen.

So it will be a very long dialogue if i or crovolley start to explain but obiviously you are not very interested from bulgarian or croatian team. Excuse me, where are you from ?
deian, i think i already said before, there's not enough time in the day to follow all the teams in the world, as much as i'd like… or all the sports and hobbies i care about… sorry...
also i already told you that i am in NYC area.
btw, guys, i just watched the end of the first set of CHN and JPN. wow… how did the chinese women get so much taller? i mean, they were already one of the tallest teams in the world before, but now… look at the front line: zhang changning (195 cm/ 6 ' 5), yuan xinyue (2 m/ 6' 7) and zhu ting (195). only russia can match that in height (but not skill). they went at one point from 9-6 to 18-6 against japan by overwhelming it with big blocks, attacks and also a very good backcourt defense. having yuan play against yamaguchi (176 cm/ 5' 9) is no match.
where's sakoda, does anyone know?

I wouldn't take it personally. Something I learned from following volleyball and conducting post-match interviews for FIVB, the time after matches is quite important for players to internalize wins and losses, and for mental and physical recovery.

Didn't she played yesterday? If I'm right, she was on the court for a while in 4th set?

You're right she was also a sub in match vs. Dominican Republic in last weekend
Looking into rankings in 2nd Division we see that the best teams qualified to Finals, including Poland who's the host and played with their B team after European Games, where we saw A team.
After these weekends Netherlands seems to be favouite, but we should notice that Poland sent backups to play in Puerto Rico and Argentina. Some players like Asia Wołosz will come back in Lublin Czech players had also decent games, Puerto Rico has Karina Ocasio as leader, but they have ups and downs, what showed losing twice with Bulgaria
Pluses are performance by Efimienko, Grejman (Nawrocki gave her a lot of playing time ) and Krzos (next good L in NT, but we need Paulina Maj-Erwardt for ECH...).
The biggest minus is of course our "Setter" - Natalia Piekarczyk. She almost didn't play in league and she spoilt many balls to her teammates...
Yesterday positives are Sieczka as leading player and 7 aces by Ola Sikorska
2 Teams will be relegated to Division 2 because South Korea will comeback to Division 1 + Winner of Division 2.
At the moment say goodbye to Turkey and Dominican Republic.

is this a certain info???
if it is true then we will have to eliminate Belgium too...
we will beat DR....Belgium is in a tough pool in the third week...i dont know if we beat DR then we can be above Belgium in the rankings or we have to beat another team as well : one of Germany or Serbia...
Before last weekend:
Pool G: BEL, BRA, ITA, RUS
Pool H: CHN, JPN, THA, USA
Pool I: DOM, GER, SRB, TUR
Dominican Republic will be there with team B (A team will be in Canada on Pan-Am Games), so they will probably end up with 0 - IMHO no excuse to let them stay in 1st Division even if Cristobal Marte has power to mix some thing up...
If Turkey can win and get at least 3 points, then it can be enough to overcome Belgium, later set ratio will determine standings. Probably one from these two can be 11th...
With all respect to Korea - I don't know if it is good to give them access back to 1st division because they withdraw this year...
On the other hand it's 10th team in World Ranking - higher than Turkey, Thailand or Belgium right now... bronze in London and their main player are arguments for letting Korea back in 1st Group
Brazil and China next to USA clinched spots in Finals in Omaha
bronze in London and their main player are arguments for letting Korea back in 1st Group
Korea lost bronze medal match in London.
Korea lost bronze medal match in London.
Sorry but their performance in London was quite impressive indeed
having such player like Kim in Your team is such advantage and KOVO wanted to make a slave from her
