Korea - V League 2015/2016

  • Very interesting article about Georg Grozer's life in Korea. He has his personal translator who goes everywhere (even to Sauna) with him and his personal physiotherapist :white:
    Use Google to translate it.

Yes, every foreign player has the translator who actually follow him/her everywhere. Learning korean must be really hard. I'm to learn the korean alphabet and it is pretty hard to me too. I'd like to be able to read the names on the jearseys one day. :D

  • There is a very interesting read on FIVB's webpage (news section) regarding Jan Stokr's life in Korea as well. It is in English and I guess it is similar to Grozer's story :)

Spotv blocked the video on Inside volley. :what:

There is no reason to put videos here and make the page heavier. Just link the videos here, since we can only watch them on YouTube. Less work, more efficiency.

And thanks a lot for all the job you made and keep making for us. You're great! :cup:

  • What a good match between Vixtorm and Jumbos :!:

Jumbos didn't play their best for long part of the beginning, they lost the first set and almost lost the second one, then they found their fighting spirit back and Moroz did the rest, killing the ball and scoring important points and the ace which gave the set to his team.

    Moroz's celebration :D

Third set was an easy one for Jumbos, like the fourth till they completely stopped playing once again, expecially the OHs and the S. In the tie break Moroz leaded the team to victory.

    Now Jumbos are a "W" behind Simon's Rush&Cash.

There are still few problems to fix:
    - setting on pos. 2, which makes things harder for Moroz, but he usually finds a way to score, and the OH who has to spike once on the position.
    - middles contribution is still under my expectations.

Jumbos will play next match against Bluefangs. Moroz vs Grozer. I'm in trouble, I like them both. I guess I'll support Moroz anyway.

  • It looks like Gundars Celitāns left Woori Card Hansae. He's isn't anymore in the list of players.

I missed the game between Korean Air Jumbos and Samsung Bluefangs. Looking at the stats, Jumbos were leading 2-0 and the lost 2-3 at home. Ji-Seok Jung, Pavel Moroz and Hak-Min Kim scored 26, 25 and 24 points, but it wasn't enough :!: Middles were invisible as always. For the Bluefangs Grozer leaded the team but he didn't score that much, while the others gave their contribution.

Edit: it wasn't Grozer, who's obviously going to play for Germany OQT and already missed the game against Simon and OK Savings Bank.

I thought Gundars is injured? Korean Air definitely lost because of their errors. Korean Air committed 42 errors while Samsung only committed 10 errors.

  • Yes, he was injured in the last games. He was sitting among the crowd during the 2 matches against Jumbos.

Errors are another key we can read the match. As I said, Jumbos sometimes stop playing completely. The other key is the weak contribution from the middles; OHs + OP scored 75 points, which means they could have won 3 sets with half of the team's score.

  • Aleksandar Kuc (also transliterated as Alexander Kuts) is the new foreign opposite of Woori Card Hansae. He comes from Lokomotiv-Izumrud Ekaterinburg (russian second league). I have no idea how good he is.

Jumbos won 3-0 away against KB Stars.
    Hak-Min Kim (19) and Pavel Moroz (18 ) leaded the team. In addiction Ji-Seok Jung (11) and Seok-Gi Choe (MB, 8 ).
    For KB Stars Yo-Han Kim (11), Gang-Won Lee (11), Martin Nemec (8 ), Su-Hwang Lee (MB, 7), Hyeon-Jong Son (6) and Hyun-Yong Ha (MB, 6).
