USA NT 2016

The last USA scrimmage was tonight. And just before the team leaves for the Gran Prix. I think for the for the most part, some of the players playing tonight will be part of the roster. My personal opinion: Glass, Larson, Hill, Robinson, Foluke, Harmotto, Lowe, Banswarth are the starters. Robinson will go. With Murphy beating out Nicole. Nicole didn't play and Murphy played well. USA will definitely miss Dixon. Adams is slow and didn't show much tonight. If Easy isn't ready to play, Bartsch will be the fourth OH. She is a great hitter, but her serve receive was very bad tonight. Which is a shame. Lloyd set tonight. She was ok but I don't know if she will beat out CT. There is plenty of time till the Olympics for these ladies to work together.

With Easy still injured, Klineman should have been there to replace her...
-
I think Alisha Glass is not traveling with her team this first week at the WGP. Carli and Thompson are here. Also Hill, Kelsey, Adams, Natalie Hagglund

i'll be sad if fawcett is not going to rio. i already miss gibbemeyer.
btw, in the US, there's very little coverage of VB, except maybe for beach, but here's a long profile on karch in the NYT:
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06…mens-volleyball-team.html
foluke mentions that the team is so much more cohesive now, with less drama. i wonder, is she referring to destiny diva??????
-
Fawcett,Murphy and Lowe, they are all at the same level right now, with ups and downs, none has showed a outstanding performance or showed they can be a OP like Boskovic/Goncharova can be for their team for example.. so at this point it wont matter which 2 will make to Rio, they will just fill in with the team. USA wont have a reliable OP, that`s all. But they will still be a strong team.

I don't think Hooker attitude was the main problem, had a team lider like Tom should not be easy...
And another quotefrom Akinradewo:
“I always say our team in 2012 [which won silver] was very, very talented, but we weren’t necessarily the best team and teammates,” Akinradewo said. “This group is really special. There’s a lot of love and respect for one another.”

Weren't they supposed to announce the NT roster for the Olympics yesterday?
It was delayed, seems Kiraly is expecting Easy's recovery.
"The U.S. deadline to name its Olympic roster is July 17. U.S. Women’s National Team Head Coach Karch Kiraly and his staff could name the 12-player roster any time before that date, but it will likely not come out on the originally planned date June 27."

How strong is the USA NT for Pan ACup compares to Other NT which will play there?
