Russia - Superliga 2016/17

  • Uralochka levels series against Krasnoyarsk in hard-fought match: despite Ekaterinburg won the first two sets clearly, Yenisey leveled as convincing and the tie-break went via 13:12 to 15:12 in the end. But now two matches in Krasnoyarsk follow, so the east-sibirian team has a small advantage.

  • Maja Poljak blocking everything :white: On the flipside, Goncharova IMO is not really playing at her usual level, she can play better.

  • who are the players of yenisei?

Wow! Yenisei finnishing a great season on third place!

  • Yes, this was a great season overall for Yenisei Krasnoyarsk overall: they were pretty good in league round (5.) and even better in playoffs, where they stunned first the both much more experienced and higher rated teams of Krasnodar (4.) in quarters (even in two of at most three matches) and now with winning against Ekaterinburg (3.) they even qualified for CL qualification competition next season, "relegating" Ekaterinburg to CEV cup, after they did so with Krasnodar to Challenge cup.

  • 3rd match between the two Dynamos.

It looks like we're going to a fitfth set.

  • Dinamo Moscow makes a comeback and wins the 3rd match(Is this best of 5 I dunno)

Only watched the last two sets but... the win probably was atrributed to Vetrova getting the tempo right while Startseva struggled on her setting at the last stop. Too high imo. I don't know what happen to Pankova but probably mess up again I guess. Vetrova sub probably save Moscow. Thought her tosses were picture perfect at times.

  • And what a wake up that was :white:

Moscow from 15:23 to 23:23 with Poljak on serve, defending two set points and winning 27:25 eventually. Now they're two sets away from the title.

I think Goncharova has found her "new Gamova" in Voronkova :D A little nasty stare every now and then through the net...

  • And again :rolll:

Kazan had a comfortable lead all throughout 3rd set until 22:19 and then Moscow woke up. Goncharova plays quite bad overall but in those tight ends of the sets she's almost at 100% except for that one ball where she got blocked.

So one more set for Moscow. Kazan plays better in something like 90% of the match but they just can't win the sets :white:
