Foluke off the court again after 2 sets. And again she doesn't really look in pain ![]()
I absolutely hate it when veteran players like Harmotto or Sheilla make foot-faults on such easy serves ![]()

this set was very crucial..bravo to dutch team bravo to pietersen!
has pietersen been playing better than Buijs as OH in this tournament???
I did not watch all the games, but both has been doing great.
But I think Piertersen has been more reliable, and Piertesen was amazing in the semis.

pietersen from 4 lonneke from 2 working well for dutch team
I should start a drinking game for every time Karch Kiraly says 'deep breath' in timeouts.
oh from Larson to Robin ![]()

You wouldn't want to destroy your liver like that.
I guess they were too busy concentrating on taking deep breaths so they couldn't focus on taking the ball...
If I wrote something like that people would be telling I'm obsessed or I'm Kiraly's hater. ![]()
Pray for the USA: a fourth place my get the breathing maniac fired. ![]()

he may stay for the sake of WCH ![]()
what a miss by Belien!!
Seriously Guidetti? Giving set with your own hands, what the hell Plak is doing there replacing Pietersen who simply brought the second set???? I never watched someone as messy as Plak ever, even Diouf has more proper defensive technique.
two fatal passing errors by Buijs ![]()
dutch team was close to getting this set but Belien's immature mistake and Buijs^s mistakes cost dutch team the set
Why the hell did Schoot not enter for Buijs in the end??? And why is Stoltenborg still playing??? ![]()
I didn't watch the game from the 1st set, stoltenborg was starter?

No but she entered early in 2nd and stayed all 3rd set.
Lowe is killing the ball regularly and he takes her off. It makes sense: he's coherent with his nosenses. ![]()
She's back now in front row. So we give up on spiking from pos. 1. Very good idea. ![]()
Congrats to USA and the Netherlands for being in the top 4.
Hoping for a well-fought finals in a few hours. ![]()
I felt more emotions seeing Lonneke crying than winning this medal ![]()
Congrats to USA but my heart goes with Netherlands..for me they deserve the bronze cause they were so impressive through this tournament..i hope they 'll make it to the next olympics and fight egain for a medal!!!
Guidetti has done very much good for this Dutch team and without him they wouldn't be in Rio at all, but today he made a lot of critical mistakes:
- starting with Plak
- replacing Pietersen with Plak
- keeping Stoltenborg on court way too long
- forgetting to replace Buijs with Schoot in the end of 3rd set
- wasting both his challenges in 4th set very early
Still the Dutch can be proud of their tournament, and congrats to USA for Bronze!
Noone but Guidetti to blame for this loss unfortunately. He, once again lost to his ego, trying to show that he is an excellent trainer by making surprising decisions. Not sure what he finds in Plak because her attacking technique is as bad as her defensive skills. She drops the ball so low and often gets block outs because her timing for spiking is simply absurd. I don't blame her for the loss though, she is young and will learn a lot of things but Guidetti, subbing Pietersen was the milestone of this match.
I really like Netherlands under Guidetti's coaching but they are full of simple errors. It's impossible to make double substitution because setters are not reliable and there is no good hitter from zone 2 either. Netherlands now has a big task to develop a talented setter and a talented defensive OH.
Well done USA! But I see no future in this team or system any longer. It worked well for years but now any proper serving team can resolve US easily. This time their hard core defense helped them to get the bronze. I don't even wanna think how this team would end up if Glass is injured...
