  • Does anyone follow tennis? I've just found out that Kim Clijsters announced her comeback in 2020 and I really didn't expect that :what:

    WAIT, WHAT?

I stopped following tennis mostly because of her retirement, i love her so much.. :rose:What she was capable of doing, especially in that last Australian Open against Li Na, wow, it was amazing.. I always loved to see Li Na too, so much fun, she just playing to have fun, enjoying herself.. Really, really cool..

    You've made my day

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAGpgHH1_As She said she wants to be both mom and player. I love Kim and she already had a great comeback in 2009 but 7 years out of the scene are a lot of time. That being said, I think that if Serena Williams can still play Grand Slam finals , there are some hopes :S

  • Justine Henin is my favourite player of all times, so naturally I LOATHED Clijsters during her her first career :rolll: However, when she came back, my enormous disdain turned into slight annoyance and finally relative indifference, so I don't think I'll feel strongly about her this time around either. Still, I'll have to wait until I see her on court again before I can decide how I feel about her :rolll:

It was the opposite for me, I couldn't stand Henin :rolll: but when she was gone, I regretted it a lot. IMO WTA lacks rivalry like Henin vs Clijsters nowadays.

Oh, how I miss those days! Great players, great rivalries, great stories. Exciting matches every week, all season long.

We have none of that anymore, with players randomly peaking to win a major tournament and then sucking 90% of the time.

There's some promise in this new generation with Andreescu, Osaka and others, but damn, I've been burned so many times before, so it's hard to be invested in anyone.

  • Finally Aryna Sabalenka is back and won a title :super: She's fearless and I see a good potential in her but it seems she can't get it together. On the other hand it's painful to watch Garbine Muguruza lately, she doesn't have the mentality to have a top player :gone:
