A lovely annual small invitational tournament, entertaining for worldwide audience with good live streaming coverage for all.

I hope Laola TV will still cover the live stream though the free access is not in HD.

ARG and POL are the new faces this year, replacing TUR & BEL, the remaining teams are the repeating faces.

Because of the time conflict against the qualification of the senior female volleyball event of 13th Chinese National Games,
Team China may be U20 NT.
It will be the same as the situation in 2013.

SAME MATCH SCHEDULE AS 2016

To accommodate the prime broadcasting times of the major international TV channels showing some or all of the games at the Montreux Volley Masters, the matches will be played at the same times as in 2016.

During the GROUP STAGE from Tuesday to Friday, the first match will take place at 16:30, followed by the second at 18:45, with the final
match of the evening at 21:15.

The programme will remain the same on SATURDAY for the semi-finals with matches at 13:00, 15:30, 18:00 and 21:30. SUNDAY will also remain unchanged from last year, with the finals scheduled for 13:30 (third-place play-off) and 16:00 (the final itself).

Note: MONTREUX (CEST) = UTC (GMT) + 2 HOURS

The POLAND team will attend the 2017 Montreux Volley Masters,
a rare opportunity to watch the much unknown team in the International competition beyond the EU scope.

Does any one have info who are the final roster of Poland team?
And is it a good team in the sense the Poland dispatches a strong team of what resource it has?

Actually Poland managed to lose to Czech Republic so I don't think our level is somewhere high. Something around Germany, actually missing Zaroslinska, Ptak, Grejman and Mucha, 2/3 of them should be in starting six. But of course comparing to WCH Q less pressure can do good.

Just noticed the Poland team has some very tall players (MB) from the roster listed in 2018 WCh European qualification, the listed team against SRB (haven't watched the match itself, saw its replay at Laola1.tv).

Anyhow, now all can witness the POL team performance in Montreux, last year I also learned about the BEL and GER teams at Montreux, as well as their participation in the WGP. I just do not follow CEV tournaments

Poland have appeared in every edition of the FIVB World Grand Prix since 2004 reaching a high of sixth place in 2007 and 2010. In their bid for promotion from to Group 1, they made the final of Group 2 twice consecutively in 2015 and 2016, but lost on both counts to The Netherlands 3-0 and to the Dominican Republic 3-2.
The Poles were once one of the top teams in the world, however. They took Olympic bronze medals in Tokyo 1964 and Mexico City 1968. They won a World Championship silver in 1952 and bronze in 1956 and 1962. More recently they won back-to-back gold medals at the European Championships in 2003 and 2005, followed by a bronze in 2009. Bia (MB) is out of the Brazilian final roster, because she is recovering from a small injury.
Also, Gabi (L) replaces Leia, who asked for a break due to personal issues.

Brazil seems to participate with a serious roster not with relatively young/inexperienced/less experienced players

lets see if Natalia will rest for important matches of this tournament or be a starter from the start

what about Dutch roster for this tournament?

Brazil seems to be the most important candidate to win this tournament considering China will participate with a diffferent roster

i dont know what Holland and Thailand can do

i dont expect much from Germany and Poland
