  • 18 for Greece

S: Stella Christodoulou, Olga Vergidou Konstantina Drakoulidou

OPP: Maria Oikonomidou , Marvi Giovani

L: Marialena Artakianou , Iliana Iakovidou , Evita Ksintara

Without Vasilantonaki (Filottrano) and Dioti (Vasas) who will return in the next tournaments. About Papafotiou (Mulhouse) and Chantava (PAOK) the coach maybe is not intersted.

  • Sweden is already out according to cev. They will not have enough points even if they win the last two matches

  • If Someone wants to watch Croatia - Switzerland http://www.jagledam.com/Arena-Sport-2-uzivo-stream (stream 2)

CEV would make huge improve with volleyball and streaming if this streaming service is free, but with concept it is just few steps back for volleyball....

    Same goes with FIVB.

  • Effectively FIVB and CEV cement the current relations: selling right to the few countries where TV stations pay for it, because there is enough demand for it to justify, while other countries are upset, because the fewer interested people have to pay for all the time and no new viewers can be collected. Germany will not be the only country suffering from it (mostly VBL/CEV Cup competitions, sponsors will ask, why they should give money for it for so few spectators).

  • Alida Marcovivi is 46 years old and she is in the romanian roster.

Because norway cannot qualify came to greece with a different roster ( 3 setters, 3 opposites and without libero)

  • Ukraine also qualified by clear three set win behind Greece now - because of set ratio Montenegro has now no theoretical chance anymore to overtake them.

  • Croatia did Austria a favour and downed Switzerland easily in three sets - so Austria has still chances to steal away the second qualification berth from the Swiss, if they win clearly against Norway (which is trailing and already out of contention of the qualification).

    Albania is in this pool.

Rykhliuk had 15/27 attacks but the score was close.

  • Albania in the european league was in the same level with Austria and switzerland but they decided to use in euro qualif. youngers players.

    Romania - Spain 1-1 sets

  • Sorry, I accidentally swapped out of contention teams Norway and Albania between pools :( .

Austria is on good way to keep their chances, won first set clearly, and leading clearly also in second set against Albania.

Spain won third set and that way a first point in the duel with Romania, because Bosnia-Herzegowina also won clearly, it stays a three-team-race for the two berths of qualification for now.

OMG She was playing at 1994 World Championships! It Was 25 years ago! :white:

OH: Litsa Merteki (AO Thiras), Olga Strantzali (Pila), Sia Totsidou (AEK), Vlachaki Konstantina (Olympiakos)

L: Marialena Artakianou (AO Thiras) , Iliana Iakovidou(Aias)

Spanou,Ksintara, Emmanouilidou and Drakoulidou are out.

Propably Vasilantonaki will be replaced by Oikonomidou. Before some weeks Oikonomidou finished a match with an amazing record (17/20 attacks, 8 aces, 1 block)

Aris's team manager said that the people who chose these players must be ashamed, because Aris finished 2nd in Greek League, and 1st in u20,u17,u15 leagues and the coach didnt call even a player from Aris.

Also the team manager of Pannaxiakos said that Naranjo is a fortune teller and "genius".

  • Spain won Romania 3-2. Now Spain has 4 wins and Romania&Bosnia 3. Because Romania and Bosnia will play against each other Spain will have more wins than the loser of this match even if they dont beat Latvia.

  • odds for Czech- Finland 1.16 -4.50

propably because Finland dont care about the match

Their press release didn't sound, that the only good team from Northern Europe didn't care about the result. But let's wait, what will happen, as already mentioned Czech is without Havelkova and Havlickova.
