Winning or losing the match in the tie break would make Italy be #1 in the group. I can't understand what actually changed their path to the finals by losing the match...
By winning the match Poland overtook Belgium in the 2nd place and now can't play against Slovakia since they're both hosts - a ridiculous rule, IMO.

(2) Azerbaijan vs Bulgaria
(3) Poland vs Spain
(4) Russia vs Belgium

(7) Italy vs Slovakia
(8) Germany vs Slovenia
For me, matches #2 and #4 are wide open. Both Azerbaijan and Bulgaria are too unstable.
Belgium had a great match yesterday. If they keep the momentun, they could surprise Russia.
But we all know the best teams show up in knocking stages.

Do the QF pairing change as well? That would be total nonsense. OK, let the hosts play the 1/8 finals at home, but that should have no effect on the QFs. Otherwise, it's basically an invitation to manipulate the scores.

In Polsat Sport they said that Poland will play with 1. Spain 2. Germany but championships center in Turkey has to confirm it yet.
