France - Ligue Nationale de Volley 2017-18

  • Website: http://www.lnv.fr/9/lam.html

There are said to be replays of the matches available. Furthermore special matches will be streamed on the channel of "L'Equipe". We will see how this will play out in the end.

Can't say much on favourite teams, as i haven't followed the league very closely so far. I will surely have an eye on how Reichert (Tours) and Jan Zimmermann (Poiters) will do. I hope they will learn some new tricks in their first season abroad.

I also notice it due to Liu Li-bin (Tourcoing). He is also in the first season abroad.

  • Having trouble using the second link. Anyone know if there is a way to access past broadcasts?

Can't help unfortunately. Apparantly there is no content so far......

Regarding the matches to be streamed on "Chaine L"Equipe", they say it will start on 24th October but i haven't found any schedule, neither on site of lnv or "LEquipe" itself.

  • As it often happens when lesser teams reach to finals, championship titles or European participation, they usually suffer the following season. Be it for selling key players or just lacking the experience needed to handle the number of games and expectations. Whereas Chaumont has been a factor in French volleyball for some years now and not just a temporary phenomenon, hence I am really looking forward to their CL performances, Toulouse is obivously suffering from the syndrome. Almost absent in the domestic league, with their only win so far against, surprisingly, Paris Volley, they have a nice group of players but I doubt they will really make it work. And even if I consider Toulouse's CL group more manageable than Chaumont's, Chamount should be the "real" French representative this campaign.

By the way, somehow unnoticed went the transfer of Bruno Lima to Chaumont. I guess he will be used as a back-up for Boyer but the latter is a beast, so Prandi has been using Lima as an OH. Not a new role for him, of course, but still interesting. Which is a bit sad for Wassim Ben Tara, he may get even less play time this season.

  • Saturdays match between Poitiers and Tours looks like an interesting match. Generally, because it is a traditional and probably well attended derby and personally, because i could watch my compatriots Reichert and Zimmermann. Both seem to do a decent job so far, as far as i can judge from stats.

The match is scheduled as a stream and "full production" on Chaine L' Equipe. I only fear it is going to be geo-blocked......

  • you can be afraid ! actually we're just sure that video will not be allowed on dailymotion one camera as usually , and will be broadcast ...sunday morning at 9am on " la chaine l'équipe" ! People wish that game will be avalaible live on theyre website live ...cross fingers !

Les pieds dans le fumier, mais toujours le verbe haut et la tête droite ! Cocorico !

  • Add a sentence: Tourcoing won all the away matches [5/0] but lost three home matches [2/3].

  • Can anyone shed some light on the exclusion of Paris Volley for Playoffs? Is it really going to happen? For the sake of competition, that would be a pity.

I also remember reading somewhere that the league may implement some measures towards increasing professionalization?!
