    That she has an injury, that Gio asked her to take a break (that he does not want her in NT for now) and also sometimes it seemed that Kubra was not accepting to be back-up for her younger teammate who's much better then her atm to be honest: Zehra.


    Personally I think its a combination of the last 2 ones. I actually feel like sometimes there needs to be someone a bit more experienced at blocking though and we don't have that apart from Eda, I would invite Dicle Nur Babat to Wch so Turkey can have the classic Fenerbahce wall whenever it would be necessary.

    i agree with you....i dont like the idea of having 3 OHs and also 3 MBS in the roster...4 OHs+4MBs is needed..2 liberos is enough..WHO could be that OH ? Derya isnt experienced enough..same for Saliha Şahin,Yaprak Erkek or Ilkin Aydın...Güldeniz Önal would be useful for tough moments but she wont be there so another experienced OH?? maybe Fatma Yıldırım from Fenerbahçe or Fulden from Halkbank ..as MB : one of Kübra+Dicle


    there is also second setter problem.this is kinda annoying..Ezgi Dilik should have been given a chance

    Guidetti should give up from Aylin Sarioglu certainly, her contribution to the team is less valuable than the risks he is taking. I would prefer a 4th OH and MB instead. Guldeniz could be a good alternative, she is a solid defender, can improve receiving line when things go wrong and has experience. 4th MB should have been Kubra Akman. If not, Asli should come back. Zehra showed a very poor performance in blocking recently.

    Anyway, if Guidetti lets her go to train with her club I don't think he will invite her back. Only possibility that I can think of is maybe he has sent extra players (Asli, Tugba and Saliha) to train with their clubs because he can only bring 12 players to volleymasters and he wanted them to keep training. But still he could take these three to Switzerland and keep training them there as well:what:


    Guidetti sometimes invite players out of blue (Elif Sahin, Cansu Aydinogullari, Cagla Akin) So I expect him to invite one of Kubra, Busra or Dicle if not Asli

    WCH is 20 days away so I don't think there will be big changes in the team.. these are the players that train and play together whole summer.. if he was thinking about calling other players, he would've brought them in Montreux to see how they will perform.. it was a friendly tournament after all

    4th MB should a 100% be called and maybe a 4th OH though these 3 are doing amazing. Honestly I'd be completely shocked and very much disappointed if that is Asli Kalac, I think she has improved lately but this team is missing a blocking MB rather then attacking. So Kubra or Dicle only could/should be called imo.


    As 4th OH, I do not expect Guldeniz to come back, I'd go with Fatma but her performance would be a complete question mark, probably he will keep Aylin. I actually quite like Aylin as a libero and am rooting for her, she was doing amazing at some matches last season for Bursa BBSK and Gio even wanted to replace Gizem Orge with Aylin this year in VakifBank but her team (or was it her school? dont remember sorry) did not allow her to leave Bursa for Istanbul. I guess she still needs some time to adjust as this year was her debut, I agree though her performance so far was not great in NT.

    it would be scary to imagine if one of those MBs or OHs gets injuried considering 3 MBs+3 OHs? to play a long tournament with two MBs or two OHs ??

    on the other hand ,same for 2 OPPs and 2 setters ..to play the tournament with one OPP or one setter would be also scary, in case of a possible injury...one relief : one of Hande or Meliha could play OPP if needed

    i think the only secured position is libero..3 liberos are more than enough ..lol


    i could never keep in mind the rules ..

    do the rules enable you to complete your roster to the 14-player adding new players when needed >> e.g. 4 players of yours were injuried suddenly and you had only 10 players left ??

    Hande is originally an MB and can play in case of injuries too, but what a silly solution it would be. Guidetti is playing with fire certainly, especially for someone who is not worth the risk. Unfortunately Aylin got so many chances this summer and she did not use any of the opportunities well.


    Altinli, I agree that this team needs a blocking MB. In fact the problem is, Zehra is bad in blocking, however Beyza is not a spectacular blocker either. Moreover, Beyza is not a good attacker either. That's probably the reason why Guidetti keeps tolerating Zehra. I would still prefer a balanced MB who can attack from zone 3, Busra could be useful, Dicle is far too setter dependent. I don't think Asli is a bad blocker, I think she has good anticipation and rebounds the ball well, but of course due to her height, she can't have kill blocks which is why she looks like a bad blocker in stats. It is also very silly to sacrifice Eda's slide attacks, just to let Beyza play considering she does not contribute effectively.

    Büşra had had a good last season in Eczacıbaşı but we know her career with NT hasnt been that brilliant..she is neither a good attacker nor a good blocker.average!

    Dicle should be there due to her blocking skills .nobody said she was a very good attacker..before Dicle i would prefer Kübra..Kübra is good against the tall teams like Russia,Serbia,China etc..

    Zehra is the future of this team so she should play..she is talented..she can do/present better at blocking than Aslı and Büşra..Aslı has a good serve..

    Beyza is not a very good slider but not bad too..she will probably be the first option after Eda is retired unless a young slider shows up

    official. derya cebecioglu is training with national team A, so i think derya will be the 4th wing-spkier. i can't like guldeniz in national team again. seyma, meliha and guldeniz are player better in reception and hande better in attack, so i prefeer derya. derya and hande in attack and seyma and meliha in reception.

    before Derya, there is Tuğba Şenoğlu..lets see if Guidetti will choose Tuğba or Derya ? Tuğba's reception looked shaky when she played in

    a tournament (in the NED ?? ))..i havent watched Derya live a much..her stats werent that good in the U19 ECH recently though she was chosen for the dream team...maybe she is a better receiver than Tuğba ??

    Güldeniz would be good but its question mark if she returns to the NT and could she be well- adapted to it in a short time bcz she hasnt played with the NT for quite a while

    I am not really sure if it makes sense to bring an inexperience player to WCH when she didn’t play a single match at senior level. Ebrar was a big prospect too and look how it takes a time for her to adjust to senior level.

    Agree with you , having a joker player like Hande who can play as OH, Opp and MB is very good but it is not a solution for a tournament like WCh. If Gui is really in favor of replacing Hande with someone who can receive, he should have called Güldeniz as a defensive OH. Neither Meliha nor Şeyma are defensive OHs. Even a player like Cansu Çetin or something could have been a better solution than Aylin. I can imagine it is good to replace Hande in the backrow with someone who is better at reception time to time but doing it in a regular basis every set is not good for Hande's development and self confidence. Moreover, Gui waste his valuable sub chances with Aylin instead of using double sub with Ebrar who can definitely contribute especially considering Meryem is not very stable nowadays

    Derya's stats were not good in U19. Despite her bad stats, she is choosen the best OH. It was strange to me. I would want to see Fatma Yıldırım as 4th OH.

    gorgeous spikes,good digs also seems there was a duel going on btw Gözde and Chinese OPP Chun-lei ..lol. (e.g. Gözde's block to Chun-Lei in the fourth set at the 11th point righ after, her spikes at the 12th point were very nice)
