That's weird. Why would she do that and why would her agency list her as "signed for 2018-19" with Wiesbaden then??

I don't know. Maybe that's not the whole truth

Good news from Münster: Chiara Hoenhorst has recovered very well from that horrible attack in April, she is currently doing rehab and hopes to be ready until the beginning of the season, but she definitely hasn't suffered any permanent damage
-
After the surgery of Simona Kosova VC Wiesbaden signs Valentina Zaloznik(MB) for 3 months.
-
Suhl has officially announced Rene Sain as new libero now, and Mila Lauerova will be assistant coach of the team.
-
NawaRo Straubing signs Lena Große Scharmann from Stuttgart's 2nd team as 2nd OPP. Carina Aulenbrock is currently recovering from ACL injury and might join the team during the season again as 3rd OPP.

This is really funny: she is already the fourth player educated in Stuttgarts federal academy respective second team playing for Straubing this season (the others are Neuhaus, Wenzel and Stöhr).
-
NawaRo Straubing has now confirmed the transfer of USA MB Ty Richardson, and they also confirm that Lisa Izquierdo is currently in tryout training with them and depending on her physical condition (she's still recovering from her ACL injury) they might sign her.
I guess if even NawaRo doesn't sign her that would be the end of Izquierdo's career

It would be a big loss for German volleyball, if Izquierdo is completely out: she brought complete Cuban look and playing style into the league (not very tall, but jumping very high, and pulling her arm extremely quickly in attack).

Izquierdo to Straubing
source: https://www.idowa.de/inhalt.ga…2b-88b3-b89e4b572434.htmlSo let's hope the best for Lisa Izquierdo; she can be the key player in Straubing, if she is fully recovered.

For the moment (not all teams are completed yet) I will assess the number and percentage of domestic players of the professional teams now, it should not change dramatically anymore (next season this will be very relevant):
7/54% Schwerin
4/31% Stuttgart
8/57% Dresden
2/18% Aachen
5/42% Wiesbaden (all counted, despite replacement is intended in between)
11/85% Münster (!) - but one player still missing (OH)
6/46% Potsdam
5/42% Vilsbiburg
3/27% Suhl
4/40% Erfurt
8/73% Straubing (a third middle should be hired IMHO)
At the low end we see currently Aachen and Suhl, their roasters won't work next season anymore without additional/more domestic players; some others are also relatively short on them (especially Stuttgart and Erfurt).

Misfortune for Stuttgart and the already signed libero player Roosa Koskelo: after medical check the result was immediate termination of contract and begin of medical treatment of her instead. I don't know further details, but those are not intended for the public of course. It seems, that Stuttgart is now searching for a replacement for her, despite one libero (own educated Annie Cesar) stays in the team, but it was intended as two for this position. It can be difficult, to find now at end of August a good replacement of course.
-
The press release sounds like there are hints that Koskelo suffers from a serious disease. All the best for her!
-
News from Wiesbaden:
Holly Toliver (OPP) will leave the club because of medical issues. Wiesbaden is still searching for a replacement.
-
What's going on?? First Koskelo in Stuttgart, now Toliver in Wiesbaden...and I assume clubs don't resolve contracts because of medical problems that could be solved within a few weeks, especially given that there's still two months until the season starts
-
Interestingly, Holly Toliver's version of things is that "a little tweak in my back scared them off" So at least for her there's nothing serious in terms of health...
-
Beachvolleyball player Teresa Mersmann, at last weekend Bronze medal winner and performing rather well on the now finished German beach tour 2018 generally, joins USC Münster as OH and maybe also OPP. She changed her mind regarding studies and will now be volleyball professional in the hall...

I'm sure that Kim Robitaille are on the VBL Site for Suhl. But now she isn't.

US setter Taylor Bruns seems to be with Suhl (spotted her on a pic from a team event (cooking) they've posted on facebook). Whatever that means... I don't know.
