Is there a replay? I need to watch Jennifer Hamson.
She played only one rally, but had the honour to finish the match with a point Surprisingly, Nele Barber played as OPP but looks like she did well (I watched only 1st set).

I wonder why Silvana Chauseva (Potsdam) only played for a short while, she should be good enough for a spot in the main line-up imo.

I guess, she came very late because of WCh in Japan to join the team.

Glad that Barber had a good debut. Looks like the indoor-"mojo" is still there (after playing "only" beachvolley with her US-University squad after her eligibility for indoor was over). I expected Potsdam to sweep after 2 sets, Wiesbaden looked quite "off". But then everyone for Wiesbaden stepped up their game, nice team effort and probably quite entertaining for their fans in the hall.

Update: she didn't play as starter due to a minor injury.

Thanks. Could you link me the Bundesliga website with all the live matches and the replays? Thansk again.

1/8 finals of DVV Cup are played this weekend. Most pairs are 2nd league teams vs 1st league teams with few exceptions.
One match was played today already:
VV Grimma (2nd league) - USC Münster 0:3 (13, 15, 16)
Four matches will be streamed on Sporttotal.tv tomorrow:
19:00 Wiesbaden - Erfurt
19:00 Schwerin - Vilsbiburg
19:30 VC Printus Offenburg (2nd league) - SC Potsdam
19:30 Stuttgart - Dresden
Schwerin-Vilsbiburg and Stuttgart-Dresden should be good matches.
-
I found only two matches of todays DVV Cup, the top ones, with betting quotes so far:
Stuttgart vs. Dresden 1.6 vs. 2.3, i.e. Stuttgart is favoured, but not heavily
Schwerin vs. Vilsbiburg 1.2 vs. 6.0, i.e. Vilsbiburg has nearly no chance at all
Both are realistic bets IMHO.
Keep an eye on Offenburg, despite they are second league amateur team, they are by far better than all other second league teams (at least in the southern half) now, and it is not sure, that Potsdam will have an easy life there. Last season Offenburg managed to win two (!) sets against Vilsbiburg at the same stage.
-
No upsets today: the favourites won mostly in three sets, Schwerin vs. Vilsbiburg, Stuttgart vs. Dresden and Wiesbaden vs. Erfurt. While Köln amateurs could not get any grip in the match against Aachen and lost all three sets clearly, Offenburg as future first league team made it somewhat tedious for Potsdam in the own, small hall, despite Potsdam prevailed in the end: 2 times 20:25, but than 25:23 a set won by hosts, before they finally collapsed in fourth with 12:25. The draw for the cup quarters is only done tomorrow...

Köln - Aachen 0:3 (12:25 13:25 17:25)
Offenburg - Potsdam 1:3 (20:25 20:25 25:23 12:25)
Wiesbaden - Erfurt 3:0 (25:20 25:21 25:21)

MVP: Karolina Bednarova / Canace Finley
Schwerin - Vilsbiburg 3:0 (25:10 25:20 25:20)
http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2018-19/Women/8106.pdf
MVP: Lauren Barfield / Myrthe Schoot
8 aces by Denise Hanke
Stuttgart - Dresden 3:0 (25:21 27:25 25:23)

MVP: Roosa Koskelo / Maria Segura

Interestingly in DVV Cup the Stralsunder Wildcats from second league North are trying seriously an exploit against (again) newbie first league team from Straubing, leading 2:1 due sets, but course is on tie-break now.
-
Now all matches are completed, Stralsund failed to upset Straubing in the end, but posed the biggest threat from a second league amateur team to a professional first league team, losing just in tie-break 11:15.
So the participants in quarters are: Schwerin, Stuttgart, Wiesbaden, Aachen, Potsdam, Münster, Suhl and Straubing. The draw for the quarters follows later on (I suppose after last men's match in Düren).
-
No surprise that Straubing have Problems with Stralsund.
-
DOL for Cup QFs:
Stuttgart-Wiesbaden
Münster-Schwerin
Aachen-Suhl
Potsdam-Straubing
Decent draw IMO, under normal circumstances the semifinalists should be Stuttgart, Schwerin, Aachen and Potsdam.
-
A parent of one of the four players educated in Stuttgart and playing in Straubing now told me, that Stralsund claimed insurance reasons, to prohibit Straubing to enter the hall before warmup for the match. Sounds more like a dirty measure to make an advantage by this approach...

Two matches today:
18:30 Schwerin - Münster, live on Sport1, with German IP stream: https://tv.sport1.de/sport1/
19:00 Erfurt - VCO Berlin - sporttotal.tv stream
It's the 100th match between Schwerin and Münster today. Münster without Lohuis, Mersmann (both sick) and Lena Vedder (injured), so Schwerin is even more clearly the favourite. Szakmary is back in the team after a back injury, the Japanese girl might make her debut, but McKenzie Adams might be rested with muscular problems.
