Quite balanced match so far, Münster is doing a good job in block especially.
Vanjak has improved so much in one summer in NT! Her physical presence at the net is impressive.

I remember watching her playing as an Outside for Stanford in the later season of 2016. She is such a smart hitter. During the National Championship journey, she provided solid support for Kathryn Plummer and Inky Ajanaku on court. Very glad to see her succeed as a MB!

She's playing as OH in her club, she just played MB in NT this summer.
Today's results:

MVP: Jennifer Geerties / Luisa Keller
There are definitely some mistakes in the stats; Tessa Polder had a block point in 1st set that was attributed to someone else and Vanjak surely had more than one block point too.
Erfurt - VCO Berlin 3:1 (25:22 25:7 23:25 25:20)

I'll repeat what I've been saying for years now: VCO project doesn't make any sense under the given circumstances
From the 2000-01 Junior NT, almost all key players are playing for other teams in Bundesliga: Glaab in Vilsbiburg, Ambrosius in Schwerin, Weitzel in Dresden, Alsmeier, Keller and Linda Bock in Münster. That makes almost the whole starting six, from current VCO team only Josepha Bock, Emma Cyris and Romy Jatzko are on the level of Bundesliga, but playing with so many weak girls around them surely won't make them better! Just look at Münster's young players, by practising day after day with a very good coach and some experienced players around them they improve so much and all of them get their playing time. IMO this is much better for player development than VCO project with so many weak players. It's different in Italy for example, in Club Italia there is no weak player even though it's basically a Junior team as well...
For Oregon Duck fans, Ladies-in-Black Aachen featuring Taylor Agost #4, another blond beauty, at OP.

No real surprises today, despite it was much harder as expected for most for Suhl at home against Straubing (19:17 in tie-break) and Stuttgart at home against Wiesbaden (tie-break 15:7). Easy living for Dresden against Erfurt in three and also not too hard for Aachen against Vilsbiburg in 4 sets.
Watched Aachen against Vilsbiburg. Marrit Jasper's passing is problematic, as usual. If she doesn't improve it, she will lose her spot in Dutch NT.
Dresden - Erfurt 3:0 (25:16 25:15 25:16)

MVP: Maria Segura / Canace Finley
Aachen - Vilsbiburg 3:1 (25:17 19:25 25:19 25:15)
http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2018-19/Women/2011.pdf
MVP: Lisa Gründing / Jennifer Pettke
Suhl - Straubing 3:2 (20:25 25:21 16:25 25:16 19:17)
http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2018-19/Women/2008.pdf
MVP: Rene Sain / Danica Markovic
Stuttgart - Wiesbaden 3:2 (26:24 21:25 23:25 25:20 15:7)

MVP: Deborah van Daelen / Karolina Bednarova
Potsdam - VCO Berlin 3:0 (25:20 25:16 25:21)

MVP: Marta Drpa / Lydia Stemmler
VCO added Münster's Linda Bock and Dresden's Lydia Stemmler to the roster for today, apparently they'll play for them sometimes now.
Hamson still injured, isn't she?
Hamson still injured, isn't she?
She started practising normally about a week ago, so she's not yet in best shape, that's why she isn't starting for now. But then Barber also does a decent job as OPP.
I found an article regarding RPB Berlin, this second league club plans to go to first league in 3 to 5 years from now, which is a rational approach.
One match tonight, live on Sport 1, stream with German IP: https://tv.sport1.de/sport1/
18:30 CET Schwerin vs Aachen
Magdalena Gryka is as expert on Sport 1 today for the match; she says she wants to play in Germany again because she had some problems in Poland, but she hasn't found a team (yet).
Very bad serve receiving of SchwerinBut I have to say Aachen is serving en blocking very well. It surprises me that Bongaerts is starting a lot over Hanke, but I'm happy with it because it's good for her development
Aachen is doing a great job so far. Van Hintum prepared them very well tactically and the players are very disciplined and well organised on court. But then Schwerin is quite poor so far as well...
Taylor Agost, #4 making her case for rookie of the year.
Oregon Ducks, PAC 12 all league, All American 2nd team
320 attack measurement per NCAA
She actually could also play OH as she did for part of the season last year or maybe a receiving OP.
