Scandicci's reception is awful. They can not block either Egnou or Bartsch.
It seems the 2nd set is a blowout for Novara.

That was absolutely hilarious
You don't get the impression that Novara is playing particularly well, but they're still leading comfortably. Scandicci needs some time to gel as a team, apparently.
Carlini's sets to MBs are still as cringeworthy as ever, although Malinov is giving her a run for her money in that departmant in this match.
Yeah it seems like Novara is not being challenged enough to start playing their best volleyball. Scandicci should be a much bigger challenge than this, but not today, so far anyway.

When Scandicci got a chance to catch up, they just gave it away with a serve error. Then they end up giving Novara an easy direct kill at the set point. If this is Scandicci's normal performance, I am curious how they could compete with those strong teams in CEV.

Based on this performance they can't compete with those teams but don't forget it's only the 2nd game of the season, it's normal to need some time to gel.

Vasileva isnt there, lets see how they perform when she comes back. However I havent seen any information at all considering when its going to happen though. Hopefully she will be ready when the CL starts.

Scandicci is not ready as team at all, to many errors literally in everything. Attack, reception, serve. Malinov doesn't have connection with her players. We need to wait to see how will they grow as team.
Haak with 9 errors in only 3 sets, She got sub for Zago.

I didn't see much of 1st set, but for the remainder of the match her connection at least with Veljkovic was pretty good.

I'm kind of surprised that they build a rather good connection within such a short time. Last year Carlini's setting to MB was not good at all.

Yes, it did improve as the match went on.
I really hoped this would be a much more competitive match. Egonu played at like 30% of her abilities and still Novara won easily.

Novara's offence is good.i liked Veljkoviç's perf. ( i mean during the parts i watched)

An easy win for Novara. They are very competitive this year, either in Italian league or CEV. Besides from Egnou, they have good OHs like Bartsch and Blak. Even veteran Piccinini could help reception sometimes.

The 16-year old winger Loveth Oghosasere Omoruyi (born 2002) seems like a fantastic prospect given her stats so far. I watched some bits of that game and confused her with Nwakolor for a while. She´s been Club Italia´s most efficient player in attack so far, her ratio of killed balls is better than Pietrini and Nwakalor´s with not much less attempts. On the other side concerning negative surprises, apart from Smarzek even the belgian Herbots hasnt really lived up to the high expectations so far one might have on her given her strong Nations League-campaign. Yes, she´s been producing points, but Grobelna has been the far most efficient of the two belgians.

As expected Savino Del Bene is as weak as last season to Agil and Imoco.
