Why can't you just say Italian league is great, it becomes even better, Italian young players are so talented, without saying Turkish local players are crap, the league is gonna get even worse.. I'm really tired, and so are other users..

    I'm really surprised for this result, I didn't expect at all a clear win from Novara, considering also the fact that they were playing in Istanbul. Anyway, many congratulations to them, they really had fire in their eyes :super:


    Feet to the ground: both Novara and Imoco haven't done anything yet. There is a return match to play still and turkish teams will be hungry for revenge.

    Thats possible, considering they did sth similar last year, when they gave MVP to Gozde. But Piccinini was CL MVP two times already if Im not wrong.

    I guess the setter is the main reason of unstable performance. The second is missing of Naz and Gozde. The young players still have long way to go~~~This is the tuition they need to pay~~:what:

    Zhu didn't have to receive all the balls, she was forced to receive all the balls by Novara's pin point accurate serving. That dual duty takes a lot from big hitters like Zhu which is why most of them are OP's. Novara deliberately targeted her for the reasons stated. Without a perfect pass a receiver can't be an effective attacker.


    There is a lot of mental stress on a receiver with marginal skills who gets targeted. Krob has never been known as an attacker and she is on the court for her defense but when Sloetjes can't deliver and the middles don't get enough kills the attack falls apart. Novara's game plan was brilliant and there seems to be little that Vakif can do to change it short of Zhu having a brilliant match. Without good passing only the best setters can continue to spread the ball around to MB's and wings.


    Egonu is not unstoppable and Novara is beatable it just so happens that Vakif as it's currently constructed may not be the team to do it. The Zhu era in Vakif is about to end but it has been a wonderful ride for their fans. When it comes to CL there are no foreigner limits. Vakif choose to use a Turkish setter but they could have had a solid veteran setter just for CL if they chose. They didn't and it may cost them.

    Actually, most zhuting's fans are already satisfied with gold medals and mvps earned during these three years. This season when vakifbank decides to use lots of young player as starter or bench players. most fans all know vakifbank can not get the same result as last season~~However, I think it is a bad attitude for the pro players, when they get all the gold medals...now I know why vakifbank always use #formore in instagram~~


    Anyway , when zhu finishes 2019 world cup and 2020 olympics(these are more important targets for zhuting and zhuting's fans), she may choose to play in another club. The legend is still on the way~~~:teach:

    You are absolutely right, Coach GUI really has a conflict of interest ever since he decided also to be the HC of Turkey national team. Cansu is extremely inconsistent and too young for a team like VB, but Coach GUI really wants to develop her and hope she will be a huge part for Turkey’s 2020 run. Adding what he chose to be her backup, disaster!

    Everything what CEV and FIVB does is destroying volleyball.

    I mean We are hardcore fans and We barerly watch the matches. How do you expect from non fans to watch the games ??
