The reason there will be 0 Italian Team is simply because they don`t want to.....Of course FIVB offered either or both Conegliano or Novara a wild card but they declined the invite as they have to pay 100K. They probably don`t think it is worth to spend the money as they don`t think they can`t beat the Turkish Teams or simply this tournament is not a priority for them.. Conegliano also declined the wild card last year. ( even Perugia declined)
Italian clubs can participate in WCWC if they can win CEV champion. But I hope Italian league can control number of injured players. because most players have to play for their country. especially conegliano
In my opinion this tournament has become a bit of a farce anyway from the moment FIVB "outsourced" it to Eventcourt. And i tend to say: Kudos to the teams who opt against participation.

So you mean the registration fee to get a wild card is 100k Euro dollars? I heard money goes to a 3rd party agency, not FIVB. No wonder why some big clubs turned down the offer.

Correct. And this price was like 2 seasons ago or so... Could be even higher now.
I honestly don't know how Brazilian teams are able to afford considering it is around 350 Brazilian Real. A LOT OF 💰
